My wife and I enjoyed a meal here tonight. We enjoyed a meal for four people for $90. First the good: the wait staff was incredibly attentive and friendly. They helped us feel immediately comfortable and welcome. It seemed that they were as well-trained as some of the staff I've met at other nicer steakhouses. As for the food, I enjoyed the homemade onion rings. The steak was acceptable for the price.

Now the not so good: I expect a good steak house to have side dishes that are just as tasty as the steak itself. That doesn't seem to be the case here. The mashed potatoes tasted like instant potatoes, the gravy tasted like it came from a mix, and the green beans were once frozen and lacked seasoning. The garlic toast was the sort you can buy from the frozen section of the grocery store.

It seemed like a lot of time and energy was put into the meat, but it shouldn't be so much better than the sides. This seems like a nit-pick, but I really wish they had gone the extra mile in that area.

Finally, our drinks remained empty throughout the meal. This would have been remedied in slightly nicer places by a secondary server/busser, but our servers had their hands full.

Overall, not a terrible experience. Not a great one, either. I would definitely return, though, as there isn't a lot of competition...

I went here for dinner tonight. We waited five minutes to be seated, while listening to the staff loudly talk about how slow it was and how they didn't have much to do. After being sat, it was another 5-10 minutes before our waitress even showed up to take our drink order. 15 minutes after that for salad. A whopping 45 minutes after placing my order for a medium rare steak, it comes out basically well done. I brought this to the attention of my waitress who rudely told me "that's how medium rare looks." No apology. Medium rare does not look gray with the slightest hint of pink. And then my grandpa told me about how he had overheard one of the waitresses say "who's food is this?" and watched her stick her finger in the bread and say "who forgot this food? The bread is getting hard!" Terrible service, long wait times, rude staff, poor hygiene standards. Did I forget to mention that it looked like they hadn't vaccumed the carpet all...

Dirty floor seats are horrible no cushions seating on the wood slats on the bench. Grissle in the ribeye and more in the newyork strip. All the fried things had the same taste like it was done in the same batter sweet and same oil but fried pickles were all over done crispy chewy. It all looked good but bland taste. Steak had grill marks on one side the other looked almost uncooked. Wild rice tasted old like it had been stuck it it's pot all day. No flavor to the fried shrimp. Reese's cake tasted old from frozen, peanuts were chewy like old stail frozen peanuts bits. Something gave the wife and I quality time in the bathroom before we left town. Sweet potato fries were good mash potatoes and gravy were good. The cottage cheese was watery tasting. The wife said it did not taste like cottage cheese. The bread was to moist like it was under cooked. I had high hopes for this place but it failed. Way overpriced...

Stopped in for supper while on the road. Was a bit skeptical because there were not very many vehicles in the lot. But, I'm glad I did. Had their ribeye and it was done exactly as ordered. Nice size and tender with less fat that normal with this cut. Plenty of hash browns and corn as you can see. Beer was cold. Prices were in line. Server was very pleasant and took care of everything asked of her. The only negative thing I can say is that the place perhaps needed to updated. A lot of booths, some tables, which doesn't give a real cozy "steak house" ambiance. It's like it was converted from a fast food restaurant with a lot of windows. It was clean also. But I can live with that for the quality meal I received. Will stop again when in Sioux Center!
