Excellent food, the Tenderloin would be my recommendation and personal favorite. It’s huge and very reasonable priced. Good group of people here, I make sure to stop every time I visit. Ownership and staff couldn’t be better. Best Cook in SLATER. The desserts are awesome as well. We drove from Columbia this evening for supper. This is a small town diner and exactly what we were looking for. We got the Chicken Fried Steak Dinner, and the Tenderloin Sandwich (it's huge!) and both were very good. We also got the cheese curds and fried mushroom- the fried mushrooms were slightly cold in the middle, but overall we had a really good time and enjoyed our meals. The staff is very friendly. The last time I will ever spend money here. Food is ALWAY over cooked. Tonight I got the K.C. Strip special in fact I order 2 of them. The only thing that looked good to eat was the side salad. I order both steaks med-well and both came back well done and burnt in some places. Both baked potatoes looked like they was kept in a warm all day for both was over cooked did not look nor tasted fresh. Needless to say I ate 2 bites and threw the rest away so yup a waste of my $14.06 per meal. I would not recommend this...
