I was here on opening day, thinking this was a just a takeout spot but I was surprised when walking in, they have seating. (They do take resevations). I came here with one other person to order takeout. We ordered lobster rolls and the lobster Mac and cheese. The furniture and decor does need a face lift which is odd being this is a new establishment.
Pros: the staff are very nice. Live DJ playing. The lobster Mac and cheese was delicious. The spicy jerk sauce used on my lobster roll was delicious.
Cons: The lobster rolls themselves were very disappointing being that this is the main highlight on their menu. The bread was almost burnt to the point I couldn't bite into it and had to throw away half the bread. (This was the same of both rolls ordered). There was hardly any lobster meat - mainly bread with a sprinkle of lobster. The bread was also cut in half on the side as opossed to on the top which is how lobster rolls are traditionally cut to prevent the contents from falling out (although this was not a major issue because there wasn't a lot of lobster meat to begin with). When received the bill to pay, was going to pay with a card but was told they only take cash. Wish I would've known this in advance but luckily I had enough cash on me to pay for my bill almost $50.
Unfortunately I will not be back for their lobster rolls but I may be back if I get a craving for the lobster Mac and cheese. Regardless, I wish this new local...
Read moreWell where do I begin. The restaurant has a veey nice decor however it does not makeup for our food. Almost $200 was spent for my family becauae I wanted to try different things BUT Everything except the sweet potatoes and french fries were a mess and inedible. I tried finding a contact number on the page but didnt find one. What I did find was a huge disappointment of whats pictured vs what we received. Costing more than the local spots meant nothing because it looked so good. My husband's fish taste like tilapia when it was supposed to be whiting while my whiting was old, mushy and cabbage was raw and charred at best. The sign with lobster reeled us in, however it should have been crawfish as it tasted just like crawfish and the size to match I am truly disappointed because I wanted to enjoy it and waited 30 minutes to be disappointed. Being the ONLY people in the restaurant, shows that maybe we should have continued driving to the resort and not pull into the parking lot. I will say that the older lady at the register was a pleasure to talk to and I hope that the food improves, unfortunately we will NOT be back. Paying $22 for a lobster roll and $4 more for lobster fried rice should be pure heaven and not tasting of bread...
Read moreWe stopped by this cozy restaurant for a quick bite/business brunch—a lovely and peaceful establishment. The owner is courteous and friendly. We loved how PEACEFUL and quiet the atmosphere was, the pleasant smell, and terrific and thoughtful quotes—beautifully done. As for the food, we got lobster tacos, lobster-loaded fries, lobster mac’n cheese, and lobster fried rice. Extra fries 😅. High-seasoned and good portions. We were full-on, just quick bites. So no matter how small or big your order is, you're guaranteed fullness. The pricing is just proper, and so far, the seafood mix is a plus. I wished we had more of an appetite. Based on their Instagram page, everything looked so delicious and inviting 😋. BK Lobster Poconos will now be our go-to hotspot!...
