I love to give 5 star reviews especially to new businesses and I really wish I could for you guys. Unfortunately I can’t do that after our first try with you guys tonight. Don’t get me wrong, not because of the food. The breadsticks and pizza were great and we will probably return again for the food once the newness wears off. It wasn’t even the fact that it took us an hour and a half to receive our order of two 12” pizzas because we understand that things happen and orders can get mixed up in the growing pains of a new business especially during the “dinner rush.” What left a distaste in our mouth was the way the manager was acting and treating his employees. Upon arrival we heard him barking at his employees to the point that as we sat in the booth waiting for our food our 9 & 6 yr old kids kept asking why he was being so angry to his workers. He seemed to enjoy telling them everything they were doing wrong, and constantly reminding them that because of how bad they were all doing that they wouldn’t be receiving more 5 star reviews. Never once did he slow down to help fix the situation he just continued on stressfully pacing around talking down to them and causing much chaotic stress to the workers and us customers watching it unfold. So I am sorry that I can’t leave you a 5 star review you are hoping for. I really wanted too simply for the nice gals at the front counter who were very kind to many irritated customers and having to apologize left and right. But my hopes are that by not doing so the manager (guy with glasses running the ovens) may treat his coworkers better even during “the rush” and remember that your customers can hear the way you are treating them and that a kitchen that runs smoothly or not smooth reflects how it’s being managed. It wont matter if you have the best food in town, customers won’t want to stay or return with treatment like that going on behind the counter. One last thing.. I’m not sure why there was a phone on a tripod filming in the kitchen during the whole hour and a half we waited but it seemed to take up useful space and make everything more hectic on everyone skirting around it so finding a better place for that might relieve you of some chaos. Good luck with the new place. We hope it sticks around so we can have a better experience the next time.

Read more8/10/24 Edit: The pizza was SO much better! The salad was really good too. There were more people working and they all were very nice and conscientious of their customers. The sauce on the pizza was great and the cheese was perfect. My husband and I are not fans of the crust because of the taste, but that is a personal preference and it was MUCH better than last time. A few pieces of pepperoni were more crispy than the kids would have liked, but otherwise it was delicious and everyone had seconds. I would definitely eat pizza from here again.
Edit: The owner reached out and offered to replace the meal since it didn't leave a great impression. He was so nice and willing to look into the matter. That is why I am bumping up the service to a 5 star. And the overall stars to a 3. I will update again after we have tried it.
The pizza was burned! I would not recommend going here. I have been told that at other times the pizza is good, however this was my first experience and it was not good. The salad was good though not the main part of our meal. I bought a pepperoni pizza and salad here a couple of weeks ago. When I ordered they wouldn't accept a credit card over the phone, which wasn't a big deal, but seemed odd. It also made it impossible for me to send someone else to pick it up. They said it would be done in 5 mins. It took me about 10 mins to get there. I paid for the pizza and salad and even tipped them because they looked like young kids and I wanted to be nice. I got the pizza home and found that the entire underside was burned. I mean black and burned. The salad was very good though! The restaurant looked nice enough and the employees were nice. It was definitely not what I paid for though. I would have taken it back except that I was feeding myself and my sisters kids and they were all so hungry that we ate it anyway. I think I would rather go somewhere else for...
Read moreI am so excited we finally had a chance to try out Pizza Stop Smithfield! We came in for 3.14 day, and ordered a 16” pizza, half managers ego, have pepperoni, bacon and banana peppers. We also ordered the full order of breadsticks with a marinara and a jalapeño ranch. The whole team was awesome, super friendly and really patient with my indecisive, hungry self. It did not take long to get our order, maybe 10 minutes or so. The breadsticks: WOW! Okay, these breadsticks are the hype, and I will forever get these. I love how they’re cheesy, but not too cheesy, and the fact that they were crusted with cheese to give a perfect crisp, with a beautiful crunch when bitten into, delicious. They were not heavy or greasy, and had fantastic flavor Now, let’s talk about those dipping sauces. I was so invested in that Jalapeño Ranch that I didn’t even try the marinara. The flavor, the consistency, the zest of the fresh jalapeño, without it being overwhelmingly spicy, was pure perfection, do not miss out on this dipping sauce. Not only was it an excellent addition to dip that fantastic cheese bread into, I also added it on top of my Managers Ego pizza… The pizzas were so clean, fresh ingredients, a perfect depth of crust to toppings ratio, and just so so yummy. I am leaving Pizza Stop as one very happy pregnant lady! Thank you Pizza Stop for providing quality pizza filled with love...
