The Diner — Restaurant in Sneedville

We got the fried chicken, mashed potatoes, peas and corn. Chicken was edible but so so. Not the best, not the worst I've ever had.

When you arrive, you have to go up to the counter and order. Most foods are prepared in advance and sit there under a heat lamp.

I read many positive reviews for this place on Google. All I can say about those is those people must not get out much and maybe don't have much to compare to.

All that being said, Sneedville is a tiny town deep in the hills of Tennessee. This diner, which isn't really a diner because in diners there are waitstaff who take your order and bring your food to you, is probably about the best this area has to offer, aside from the local Mexican restaurant. It is a family owned business and it seems to be a well liked place...

This place takes the meaning of family owned to the upmost of its meaning. Owned by a local family from Sneedville. The owners sons and sons wives his daughter and wife are all so involved with this place.. plus it's always booming... Not to mention the food is to die for. It's the only place I've seen where people sit outside at 730 hanging out until it opens. Kid barely got the door unlocked or the open sign on lol very clean as well.. And They always have some kind of homemade cupcakes...

Michael catered my son's wedding and he he is awesome... We got a lot of great comments about how good our food was, And Michael cleaned up everything much more than I ever expected, And was cheery and happy all the way... Can't wait to have another party so we can get him to cater it...
