Tucked into a small red trailer in the liquor store parking lot on Route 103 across from Jillian’s, Homemade Mediterranean is an absolute gem.
I ordered a falafel wrap, and it was fantastic, crispy, fresh, and packed with flavor. My wife had the fried cauliflower wrap, and even though she normally doesn’t like Mediterranean food, she was blown away by how delicious it was, especially with the tahini sauce. We also got sides of garlic sauce and tahini, plus a tub of hummus to take home. The hummus was smooth, rich, and some of the best I’ve had.
The food came out in about 10–15 minutes, which felt quick, though the owner kept apologizing as if it were taking too long clearly she cares about the customer experience. They also offer a call-ahead number, which is great if you’re short on time.
The menu has all the classics you’d expect at a Mediterranean spot, and everything tasted fresh and homemade. There are chairs and a picnic table right near the trailer that overlooks Cole’s River. Just like the falafal place I used to eat from in Brooklyn, NY, They were very friendly with fresh made food that was surprisingly quick. Their payment options were flexible.
