My friend and I loved this place so much that we ate here twice in 5 days! The first day we were headed to Yosemite and just happened to find it. So glad we did! The second time we were headed back to Southern California and drove out of our way to have breakfast there again. It's just that good!
My friend had the veggie omelet the first time and the second time she had the french toast. She said they were both amazing. I had the Hillbilly both times. I grew up in East Tennessee so I am very picky about my sausage gravy. I asked to sample it first and it was delicious! I heard our amazing waitress, Ladena tell the chef their sausage gravy was now Tennesee approved!😅🤣😂
We were so fortunate to get to meet Amelia, the owner and her daughter, Luna on our second visit. Such nice people! This is a wonderful restaurant where people make you feel at home and the food is all very delicious. This will now be my go to restaurant everytime I come up to my cabin in Pine Mountain Lake! Make sure you checkout their now Tennessee approved, sausage gravy...
Read moreNot recommended. Overpriced sandwich shop marketing itself as a dinner house. Have to say this, as a local, this isn't the Tangled Hearts we had come to love and enjoy at the location down the street. I can't believe this is the same company or family owned business. Service was terrible. Sandwich was terrible. Far better options in the area for dinner.
ps: Management had a hard time understanding why telling a seated customer that their food was unilaterally being boxed as a to-go order, is objectionable. This, after we had walked in asking if they were still serving customers around 6 pm with a closing time of 6:30 - it's a mountain community after all. This, after taking 15 minutes or more to ring and re-ring their order. And he didn't think telling my wife who ordered and paid was the right thing to do. He walks to our table after ordered and paid and tells me. Then he blames his employee when I objected - the lady who greeted us who he needed in the first place to correct his $108...
Read moreThis cafe is one of two available spots in the area, on our first day of the trip we tried a different place (lucky buck or whatever the name was - you can check my review there) and we made a huge mistake. We should come to Tangled Hearts from the day one. Great atmosphere, amazing customer service, a lot of space for kids to run and play. A great family restaurant, you will enjoy it especially if you have kids. Food was very good, we tried several things in 2 days, sandwiches, omelettes and etc. and everything was delicious. If you stay in the area, and you choose between this place and the other one, this is a NO BRAINER, TANGLED HEARTS all day long. You will not be disappointed. Thank you guys for amazing...
