We stopped in for lunch over the summer. I ordered a salad which cost about $20, a bit pricy for some vegetables. However, after eating about ⅓ of my salad I found a 2 in. long coarse black hair in my food. When I called the waiter over, he acknowledged that it didn't belong to anyone in my party as I have very long brown hair and my dining partner has white hair. He seemed flustered and took the plate back to the kitchen. The chef offered to replace the food or remove the charge. As I had now lost my appetite, I opted for the credit. When the bill arrived, I saw that there was a $5 credit on my bill. I was still required to pay $15 of a meal that was tainted with a hair that appeared to come from someone I could see working in the kitchen. As if to add insult to injury, the "manager" sauntered by our table and asked how everything was. I told her that other than finding an employee's hair in my food I guess it was good. She said "sorry" and hurried away. My dining partner left the table and spoke to the "manager" but she refused to give any other remedy. She made some excuse about only being employed for 2 days and having called someone about what to do. I know I will never return to this establishment and I recommend that others check their overpriced food for unwanted...
Read moreA recommendation from the owner of the B&B we were staying at and on first entry looked like a really great bar and restaurant. Once seated though, we were let down - after being offered the obligatory water we were not engaged again for 35 minutes - despite our attempts to attract a waiters attention. We were finally asked by the manager whether we were being attended to and, to her credit she apologised and took our drinks order and entree. Unfortunately our drinks did not arrive! When they did arrive they were complimentary because of the wait. Food wise- no complaints. Pizza was large and delicious as were the mains of ahi tuna and Tuscan chicken were equally enjoyable. Despite the initial issues, we had a good meal and the manager saved the day by waiting tables in the absence of unwell staff. Would I go again? If in the Yosemite...
Read moreThis nostalgic, dingy, dim-lit old Lodge ran by the fun police of PML is definitely a destination for when I visit my parents. Apparently the association absconded with a bunch of HOA money to do some upgrades here, but it looks dirty as any other old bowling alley. The food here is alright, but the atmosphere is definitely lacking. For such a beautiful place, one would expect that the inside would match the outside. This is not the case, as it smells like an old bowling alley, and years of cigarette smoke penetrating the bones of the structure.
The golf course is a redeeming Factor for this place, but the PML board consists of a bunch of old, out of touch geezers, making this place perfect for a bunch of old, out of touch geezers. If you are young, avoid this place at all costs--go hang out at the Groveland Hotel or skip right...
