Arnold's of Belton - Famous Homemade Hamburgers — Restaurant in South Carolina

This was my first visit to this location and I have nothing negative to say at all,. I ordered a Turkey melt which came out a little before I expected it to with the place being pretty well packed. 3 of us came in together and got a seat right away, the waitress came right over within just a short time and took our drink orders with a pleasant smile and a great attitude, she returned briefly with our drinks and asked about our orders which she took and made sure to ask one of us that had ordered just a bacon burger if he would like to add the drink and fries and get it as the lunch special for the same price. our waitress came back to check on us and refill our drinks regularly throughout our visit and brought our orders promptly when they were ready. The food was excellent, it was served hot and was fresh, the others at the table both got fries and both stated how good they were. After we finished our meals our waitress returned and asked if we wanted one ticket or separate tickets and we chose to separate them, she quickly returned with three tickets and handed them out to the correct person, both of my co-workers paid with cards and I paid cash, she took the tickets and quickly returned with the card receipts and change and again gave them to the proper person and thanked us for coming in and asked if we wanted drinks to go. This was a great place with a relaxed atmosphere, absolutely wonderful staff and awesome food! I will definitely be coming back to this place. 1st time we have been there in a while and at the end of our meal I remembered why. I am not a big complainer, but when you get food that is terrible I think others need to know... don't get the flounder "early bird special"! It was just like a giant fish stick and believe it or not, someone can mess up French fries, the ones I got appeared to be like ones at the bottom of the fry vat all day. I ate the fish and 1/3 of the fries, but should have sent the back at the first bite (but like I said I try not to complain) I did tell the waitress as she cleaned up to show the "cook" the fries and ask if they would it them like that, she said she noticed that they were looked bad when she brought the food and should have brought them out, but I let her know it wasn't her fault. The cook put it on the plate and she asked several times if things were ok... We won't be back, but I'm sure they'll make...

We were visiting my grandson and he suggested picking up food from here. He said they did good food and that even I, with all my can-and-can't eats, would be able to find something I'd like. He was right. I opted for a plain cheeseburger and fries with no salt. Sounds so simple but 9 out of 10 places manage to get it wrong. Not Arnold's! My burger was perfect and, as I said to my grandson and husband, probably the best I've had in a long long time. Def better than a lot of the non-fast food burger places. Hubby enjoyed his club and onion rings. He said the onion rings were perfect, crisp on the outside and cooked on the inside. He's had enough soggy ones to appreciate the good ones. We'll def grab food from there when we fancy burgers and are down that...
