Beware! The food was decent but the employees are being very careless about COVID. We ate there yesterday and most employees preparing food and serving food were NOT wearing masks. They're leaning over the food as they prepare it, breathing on it, and no masks! This is completely irresponsible behavior and unnecessarily endangers their patrons. Even if employees pass daily screenings they may be asymptomatic carriers or they could be infected and the symptoms haven't become apparent yet. Meanwhile, they are passing droplets from their mouths onto the food they are preparing and carrying, potentially passing COVID-19 to their customers. This is why everyone, especially those handling your food, should wear masks. It should NOT be up to personal preference, it's the business' responsibility to protect their patrons! It's good food but it's not worth losing your health or your life. We won't be returning... not until after this pandemic anyway. This place is NOT even remotely safe to eat as long as their not requiring masks...

We had eaten at Big's several times in the past and the food was wonderful! We went for an early dinner last week and were very disappointed. We ordered burgers, the burgers were made out of very lean beef which makes for a dense burger with very little taste. Also, the burgers were not fresh cooked, the time from ordering to delivery of the food was very short, not enough time to properly cook a burger. AND....... the burgers were lukewarm, not hot at all; no juice in the meat, very dry. apparently pre-cooked and warmed when ordered; the lettuce was less than fresh. When you walk into a food establishment for a burger, shouldn't you smell the burger cooking? Or something cooking? We were totally disappointed. I do not usually write negative reviews, however, something has happened to change the quality of the meal from what we remembered on our last visit (which was 2 or 3 years ago). Sorry to have to do this, but someone needs to know how the locals feel...

Last year we discovered this place and fell in love! This year we anticipated driving the 75 miles with glee in our hearts. For a whole week comments on fresh peaches, green beans, and award winning burgers were aplenty. We were greeted with dry flavorless burgers, hard buns, and under cooked fries. Everyone has a bad day so the amazing 7 layer chocolate cake would make up all wrongs. We were sadly disappointed. The cake was dry and the icing was rubbery. It was in may ways...Jello like. I am still wondering how that happens. When the waitress, who was very friendly asked how we were. I asked what was wrong with the frosting. She took it to the owner and she replied that is the way it is now. Along with the new cook they have a new baker as well. I may skip going back next year. PS...the fresh peaches have no smell and very little flavor. I should have tried before...

Bigs Meats & More is definitely more than a mini grocery store. There are home pre-made meals and deserts. Along with a fresh meat section, everything from burger patties, bacon to cuts of steaks. You can also order burgers, hotdogs, sandwiches, fries, and much more from the sort order kitchen that is inside the store. Everything is made fresh to order. I had the cheeseburger 🍔 all the way. It was absolutely 💯 delicious 😋! You can oder the food to go or eat outside under a tent with picnic tables. It's a great place to bring the family for a home cook meal.

This is a great place to stop it your heading toward the beach. They have good food and an awesome selection of fresh produce and home made goodies to take home. The pies and cakes are outstanding! The sandwiches we had were good and tasty and the atmosphere is awesome. I will continue to come here when I happen to pass it on the way to and from Myrtle Beach.

We always like to stop by Mcleod's either on the way to or from the beach. Today we stopped at Big Meats and got a hot dog all the way. It was yummy and hit the spot. We also picked up some steaks for later. This is my second time eating here and it's always good. The tea was great also. Be sure to check it out on your way through.
