Botana Cantina & Grill — Restaurant in South Carolina

We were here for my lady’s birthday celebration on Mother’s Day weekend, this place has been opened for about six months. Let me tell about our experience, it was exceptional we loved it very much and will be coming back with her father and a few friends in the near future so we can enjoy another great dinning experience! We met Fernanda she was our server and took great care of us and provided a little birthday surprise at the end of the meal for my lady, and they all came over with a tres leches desert and sang happy birthday to her! When we were leaving we Met Gustavo and chat a little bit with him to thank you for the great service that was provided to us, he also was super friendly and courteous! We visited on a Tuesday evening, not busy at all. They have a wide variety of dishes including steak, chicken, fish etc. They also have your typical Mexican dishes with tacos, carne, mariscos etc. The meals were beautifully presented and the service was wonderful. Our server was attentive and very helpful with suggestions and información on the venue and entertainment. I ordered chicken Alfredo- it was delicious but I would ask them to add a little more Parmesan to the sauce next time to thicken it up. The portion size was large. My husband ordered steak and lobster. I tasted his steak and it was seasoned and cooked perfectly. They did not have draft beers so hubby settled for bottles. Worst Mexican restaurant ever!!! Very pricey for cheap food. Appetizer was not good. Wings were flavorless , fries meh. My husband got $16 enchiladas. We were very disappointed. 4 small enchiladas, No beans, no rice, or a side. Stingy with meat with nacho cheese and Parmesan cheese ( weird choice) on top. As he ate it he found hair in it. 🤢 They replaced it with 4 tacos. Again stingy with meat and tacos were small like a mini taco. My son got the torta, it was small and he didn’t get full. My soup was disappointing. Do they even know how to cook?? Horrible 😤 We spent almost $80. We don’t mind paying for good quality food. Seems like gas station food is better quality. Definitely not recommending...
