Karlitos Mariscos — Restaurant in South Carolina

Wayyyy too expensive for what it was. I could have taken my family somewhere nice for what I paid. I was served a plate that was sitting on the counter when I walked in. It had no flavor whatsoever and was half way through it before any tortillas were brought that were supposed to go with it. The cook walked away when the lady gave him our order which left my two kids hungry and waiting while he had a cigarette and I ate someone's cold leftovers. Had to share a 2 liter, which wasn't even what we asked for, as their fountain was broken. The lady was nice enough, but spoke next to no English and the gentleman that did kept walking away. I'm fortunate that I can speak enough Spanish to place an order. Others may not be so lucky. The chori queso was burnt and the home made chips were just not even good. Menu prices and half the items were scratched out, so you couldn't even see what you were about to spend on grossness. Music was way too loud. None of that takes into account just how cramped and dirty the place is. The only good thing was the portions sizes. Next time I'll take that money and go somewhere nice with the kids and get something good. Don't waste...

I was taken there by a friend that recently moved to South Carolina. I am a big Seafood guy and love everything seafood. I ordered the Camarones a la Diabla, which are made with Habanero chiles in this case... I enjoyed them quite a bit, but for the average American, I am sure this is a very very spicy dish. My friend ordered the camarones cucaracha, ... the textrure of those shrimp was amazing and the taste was milder and tasty....

The Limonada drink was outstanding. I will be coming back to South Carolina soon, I will make a point to stop...

The food was good. They do not have chips and salsa which was disappointing but the food was good. The Pollo Fundito was not deep fried which is the way its supposed to be cooked. They have no fountain drinks but the food was good. They do have many televisions all playing sports in Espanol. The owner, Alfredo, was very attentive and hospitable and prepared the food himself. I would definitely recommend this place for a quick bite....
