Chester's — Restaurant in South Carolina

This location needs new management besides a food safety inspection. Terry the guy behind the counter does not know food safety standards he dropped the tongs, rinsed it off (not washed & sanitized) & proceeded to put it back with the hot food until I stopped him & told him to please get a new one. Besides the fact he had boogers hanging from his nose Yukeeee! I frequent this location weekly and more times than not they have little food available for the 11:30am-12:00pm lunch hour. Per Terry he has to filter the grease at noon time.. Really Dude when I ask for the manager none was available & when I asked for the phone number he proceeded to yell it across the hot box doors open and spit flying. The food was almost as bland as the service. The faint "sour" smell of the restaurant almost made me walk right out the door but there isn't any other option to eat for miles. Luckily I worked up quite the appetite cleaning the filth off my own table (all the tables were gross) because when I opened the box I was even less impressed than I was by the smell. The chicken was rubbery, the potato wedges were limp and damp without a hint of crunch and the corn was like battered water. It didn't help that my only options of condiments was ketchup or hot sauce. Terrible employees. Came in asked for a large chicken gizzard to go. The guy replies, "I ain't even got any gizzards right now." So I asked if he could cook some, and he says, "No I'm cooking chicken right now." So needless to say left empty handed, employees are rude. Gizzards are small and cook quickly, chicken with the bone is bigger and takes much longer to cook. It's a no brainers cook the foods your customers are asking for without the attitude.
