El Guerrero Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in South Carolina

I’m an Edgefield native so I decided to give this place a try in hopes of having good food and drinks. This was my first time time ever trying this place since they’ve been opened and was excited to give them a try. The place was fairly unoccupied but the server wanted to seat right in the front entrance. That table didn’t suit us, so we moved a few feet over. The server came over with a spicy attitude about us moving seats. When I corrected him, he stomped off talking loudly yelling “I’m not serving that table, she doing too much” and I heard him clearly! Five minutes later he came back as if I wasn’t going to say anything about his unprofessional conduct. As I expressed to him what I heard and how I felt, he stomped off again cursing and talking loudly again. Unfortunately, there’s not a lot of restaurants in Edgefield because I would’ve left. A few minutes later Monica came over and served us. She was very polite and professional and says this server has a lot of issues with people. My question is why do you have this unprofessional, unhinged, untrained person at the establishment? Then to top it off, two days later, I was sent a bad review about this same place having roaches and the customer was mistreated by a female server. What type of nasty, unprofessional establishment is this? They need to shut down this place! Bad service and rodent issues isn’t what Edgefield wants or deserves!!...

Tonight we were seated and served chips, salsa, and drinks. Had our order taken. 40 minutes later never checked on. Drinks were empty and no food. Started seeing people who arrived after us served and had their food within 10 minutes. Was finally able to get the waitresses attention and asked for our food to be checked on. 5 minutes later told “ it will be 10 minutes they were working on other tickets “. Bull. Walked away before we could respond. Food arrived was dropped and she ran off again. Still no refills. Finally comes back and asks if we wants refills. Grabs the glasses and runs. Drops them off and runs again. Food was salty and not worth the wait. If a manager existed they certainly were not checking on tables.

My husband and I brought our grandbabies here for their first time, the service food, and price was amazing. I've been here years ago, I enjoyed everything before so I am so thankful we didn't listen to a lot of the reviews on here because I almost didn't go, but we all enjoyed everything and the waitress was very nice to our grandbabies and the person that brought the chips and salsa out was really nice we didn't even ask, but he brought out the sauce without everything in it for our little ones to enjoy as well.
