Walked in. No one greeted us. The bartender looked over at me like I was annoying him by being there. Finally, someone rudely tells us we are standing in the wrong place to be sat (there was like 1 table seated at the time, the place was empty). I get it. It's Sunday, people don't want to be at work. Okay no problem. Walk to the hostess stand, and this girl looked like we ruined her day by walking in. Maybe we did. She brings us to our table and that was the last an employee acknowledged us. We sat there waiting... and waiting... and waiting. Then a kids baseball team comes in. One of the dads says there are about 30 of them coming in. Okay that's fine. They start throwing a football around. The dads do nothing about it. Waitress comes out and helps them. Again, I get it. Large party flusters the staff, but there were other people who could have helped. So we decide that's enough and we walk out. Normally I'd say something, but I was aggravated. We walk to the car and this white trash dad sits at our table so quick it's like we weren't even there. That's not really the restaurants fault, but I know if I ran the restaurant I'd have never allowed that to happen. I'd have tried to alleviate the situation, but it's most likely the c staff didn't even notice because they were "too busy." We are at Lorenzo's now about 10 minutes away, and being treated great. Most people wouldn't be back, but I will. Can't wait to enjoy my pizza, beer, and five star service when...
Read moreI’m from Buffalo, I am really picky when it comes to eating pizza anywhere in the south. The pizza was surprisingly good, but service was not great. The bartender was not friendly, as my husband had asked the bartender how to go about ordering a pizza. We wanted to originally sit on the patio- didn’t mind getting waiting on. A regular had to call her down to his end of the bar to order my husband a drink because she would not come and take his drink order? She prompted us to order a pizza and take it outside to sit. She was inconvenienced when my husband asked for a beer and a soda, we asked for regular silverware so we could cut up our toddlers food and gave us plastic and apparently we shouldn’t have had more than two plates, for she gave us a problem about that too. Sorry Empire but I am all about customer service and the whole experience from beginning to end was not impressive… please get a bartender who knows how to interact with more people other than regulars who come in and who can bring you business and not make ANYBODY...
Read moreThis review is for carry out orders only. While the food is prepared well and actually pretty tasty, the quality control for to-go orders is abysmal. We live in the neighborhood adjacent to the restaurant and order quite frequently so this is not a one time, let's just forgive them because it happens kind of review. Shorting orders, missing sides, and just plain incorrect orders are a constant. Friday night a salad was left off a family order. Tonight it's missing sides and incorrect orders. It goes on and on. Management needs to step it up and find out how to get better quality control over outgoing orders. To get home after picking the orders up and finding that something is missing or wrong is frustrating. I can guarantee that this is happening to more than just a few orders in our neighborhood. Please get it together and put some controls in place to get the orders right the first time! Do that and my next review will likely have 3 more stars...
