Hong Kong Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in South Carolina

Ordered Orange Flavor Chicken and boneless spare ribs via DoorDash last night and was very disappointed with the chicken. I've pretty much stopped ordering dishes like General Tso's and orange chicken from Chinese restaurants in general, because so many restaurants serve the fried, breaded chicken cubes that I can't chew completely. (If anyone can recommend a Chinese restaurant in the area that has nice meaty chunks of chicken , please point me there.)

Anyway, I went with the orange chicken because the menu described the chicken as 'sliced', but it was the battered chunk chicken. One piece was a good chew. Some I could finish chewing, but at least half I couldn’t finish chewing. Not a good ratio however you look at it IMO. I also clicked for the hottest level of spice offered and there wasn't a trace of heat.

I've used this restaurant a number of times and been happy with the food so long as I stayed away from those dishes with fried chicken chunks. Yesterday was easily the worst I've had from there in terms of the chicken being edible. Half of it ended up in the garbage disposal. Who knows, maybe all the good pieces went...

The food here has never been that good but this time it was even a notch lower than usual. The pork dumplings were horrible. They are not like how dumplings normally are,. These were longer, dense and what looked like a sponge and vegetables inside. Maybe they gave me vegetable dumplings or something but they were disgusting.

Also got some wings which were pretty tough and quite a few of them still had the feathers and needles sticking out of them.

Let's just say I won't be back there for a while. Hibachi Express on rt 9...

Apparently “lost” my online order for which I gave credit card info. After talking with 4 people in the restaurant they offered no solution but to place the order again and pay AGAIN! Horrible customer service. Advise not to patronize this business. By the way. This is the SECOND time dealing with a problem. Last time they ran out of moo goo gai pan and I sat inside for 20 minutes before I asked what was going on. Again, they offered no solution or compensation. Please refrain from patronizing...
