This is my very first visit to this establishment, and I was super excited. I had heard nothing but great things about the food and bbq is one of my favorite foods. Before I start I would like to say that the food was great. Not what I ordered, but that's not the foods fault! With that being said, I have just witnessed the worst food service experience I personally ever have. That alone speaks volumes as I have prior fast food management experience. My 9 month old daughter and I arrived about 840. I realize that this is 20 minutes before close, but again its 20 minutes, not 2. I asked for a restroom to change the baby, because there were signs saying bathrooms were being cleaned, and half the floor room was shutdown so that half of the restaurant including the restrooms were dark. I was shown to the employee restroom I can only imagine because the customer bathroom was already cleaned and these ladies clearly didnt want to have to do closing time cleaning AT closing. I exited the bathroom ordered my food , a big joe double fries for the sides, the same for my friend, nuggets for my daughter and was TOLD not asked at 845 that my order was TOGO. My food was $36 and I tipped the 3 ladies for thier troubles, since clearly a customer during BUSINESS hours is trouble to them. They got our involuntary TOGO order and seemed very annoyed that it took the 2 minutes to get my daughter back in the carseat, her now being upset we arent having dinner. I got to the car and what do I discover but both plates had incorrect sides. I started feeding my daughter her nuggets and asked my friend to run back to the door and ask them if they could kindly fix it please since it is in fact only 855 and therefore still open. Upon reaching the door my friend was stared down, not responded to, and got then dismissed and ignored. The food is something to be had, the service and experience on the other hand is something I could have lived without. Especially spending almost 40 bucks to receive incorrect food and then when I give the opportunity to fix it before I lose desire to do business with them, I get dismissed, scoffed at , and ignored. So unfortunately as great as my WRONG order was, I cannot return and give business to this...
Read moreThree stars, 1 Because the prices are reasonable, 2, the people were SO nice, 3, Good heavens that onion ring was good. My smoker broke down on me yesterday and I was all fired up for some ribs, so I decided to try this place since they're so highly regarded. Sadly I was disappointed. I normally don't get upset about people's opinions of "good bbq" because bbq is so subjective, but this stuff is just not good. I was greeted by multiple smiling faces which was so good to see, prices seemed great, service was quick, and I got really excited because it looked like I was given a donut for dessert (more on that later). I make the 10 minute drive to my home drooling the whole way because it smells amazing only to get home and open the box to see 2 rib bones sticking out of "rice and hash" and covered in pulled pork. I wasn't pleased with the presentation but I understand that I'm a little particular about my food touching and most people wouldn't mind, but when I started to pull everything apart it got worse. My 2 ribs were soggy and almost flavorless but worst of all they still had the membrane on the backs of the bones. I know it's a pain but you have to pull that thing off. The pulled pork was inedible, it tasted as if it had been frozen then microwaved. The rice tasted like nothing which must be why they cover it in "hash" which is surprisingly flavorful, but not in a good way. I couldn't finish my plate so I decided to treat myself with the "donut" but when I bit into it I was FLOORED because it was an onion ring, but not just any onion ring; one of the best I've ever had the pleasure of eating. As with any review I write, I plan to go back and I hope that I not only eat the bbq that everyone is raving about, but that I also eat crow because i was wrong and this was just an off day. I promise, if it's better I will remove this review and replace it with a more deserving one, but for now I'll say this isn't the worst bbq I've ever had, but definitely the worst from a...
