One of the best Tex-Mex options in the Greenville area (worth the trip out of town). As we know, Greenville is riddled with plenty of Mexican food options and there is a large number of styles that each restaurant focuses on. Los Mayas is on the top of the list for pricing, menu options, and taste. I recommend starting with the fajitas and going from there. Get a taste of the beef, chicken, shrimp, rice, and more, then decide where you want to go from there. A fantastic gauge of how your dining experience will be are the chips and salsa and you won’t be disappointed here. Spicy and extremely mild options are given at the table along with a salsa cart on the side. There are so many different options that everyone will be happy. There’s also a bar in the back if you want to sit and watch the game or get a drink. The service is always fantastic as well! They are kid friendly and food always comes out quick no matter how packed it is. The only issues I have had are parking can be difficult to find, the restaurant can be very loud, and I have asked the shrimp to be cooked thoroughly a few times but it still comes out a little undercooked for my preference but still cooked through. I have been here quite a few times and I’ll be back for more. Stop here after a day at the lake!

Don't let the gas station and liquor store next to it throw you off, this is one of the hidden gems in the Greer/Taylors area. I have been coming here since it opened 5 years ago and have nothing but great things to say about this place. The owners are wonderful people and their staff works really hard. It blows my mind that they can take a table of 10's order without writing anything down and the food comes out exactly how it's ordered and fast. Even with majority of the seats in the restaurant filled, we have never had to wait more than 10-15 minutes to get our food. Hot, fresh and delicious every single time we come here! Nothing better than spending all day fishing at Lake Robinson and be able to drive across the street for dinner. Definitely recommend Los Mayas for your Mexican fix!

Always ask for a receipt and make sure the charges are correct. I ordered a take out and the portions were very small, paid for extra toppings and they were not included. I paid cash because there is a sign on the door that you get 5% off if you pay cash, but I was told that is for dine-in only. They charged me .95 cents for a non cash adjust fee which I got back after explaining to the cashier that the fee shouldn’t apply because I had paid cash. I wouldn’t have cared about the discount or the fee if it wasn’t because the portions were so small.

Los Mayas Mexican restaurant in Greer, SC is an absolute touchdown when it comes to satisfying your taste buds with some delightful Mexican cuisine. Let me tell you, folks, this place deserves a standing ovation!

From the moment you step foot into Los Mayas, you'll feel like you're entering a fiesta-filled stadium of flavors. The ambiance is as inviting as a warm summer's day at the ballpark, and the staff is as friendly as the high-fiving mascots. I mean, these folks know how to make you feel like an MVP!

Now, let's talk about the food, shall we? Los Mayas knocks it out of the park with their menu. They've got all the fan favorites, from nachos loaded like a home run to tacos that'll make your taste buds do a victory dance. And don't get me started on their guacamole, folks. It's so good, it should have its own Hall of Fame!

One of my personal favorites at Los Mayas is their sizzling fajitas. It's like watching a game-winning play unfold right before your eyes. The meat is tender, the veggies are perfectly grilled, and the aroma is enough to make you weak in the knees. It's a flavor explosion that will leave you cheering for more!

And let's not forget about the salsa, folks. Los Mayas has a salsa bar that's as versatile as a Swiss Army knife. They've got everything from mild to spicy, so you can customize your salsa game just the way you like it. It's like being able to choose your own starting lineup of flavors!

Now, I can't go any further without mentioning their heavenly desserts. Their churros are like a grand slam of sugary goodness. Each bite is like hitting a walk-off home run straight into your taste buds. Trust me, folks, you'll want to save room for these sweet treats.

In conclusion, Los Mayas Mexican restaurant in Greer, SC is a culinary MVP. The food is as delicious as a game-winning touchdown, the staff is as friendly as a team mascot, and the ambiance is as exciting as a championship game. So, grab your family or your amigos and head on over to Los Mayas. You won't be disappointed. And remember, folks, when it comes to great Mexican food, Los Mayas hits it out of the...

I have waited over a year to leave this review because I’m mystified how some people have left such positive reviews! It appears it’s just us that feel this way I guess! I have eaten at los Maya‘s over a dozen times.1- it seems to be rather expensive compared to other restaurants of its type that we have eaten at- it’s the only one near our house so that’s not a major sticking point but I did notice. After several month-I feel the upper management has the attitude that they’re doing you a favor when u come there to eat! 2-my wife and I like our shrimp to be pink and cooked, we must be strange I guess! After getting the fajitas for two for a third time and the shrimp, once again barely cooked, white from head to toe and mushy-we made up our minds, not to complain but to specify and directly ask that the shrimp be cooked better when we order it next time. Several weeks later we did! After a long and very polite discussion with the waiter who is upper management, I explained I would like my shrimp cooked well and pink, very pink! I said if it was a steak I would want it well done! He looks at me expressionless turns around and walks away. my wife looked at me and said is he mad at us? I said I’m not sure. 10 or so minutes later here comes the fajitas, barely sizzling on a plate with the biggest pile of green peppers and onions and tomatoes, I have ever seen in my life! What little chicken and steak we could distinguish under the pile of green peppers, look like grains of sand! It had never been like that before! Now the shrimp, yes the shrimp, it’s even whiter, even mushier Then ever before! The added drive as far as we are concerned to our usual Mexican restaurant is definitely worth it!not to mention cheaper...

I had a really disappointing experience at Los Mayas Mexican Grill in Taylors and sadly, this wasn’t the first time. My family and I have been going since they first opened, hoping things would improve, but every single time, at least one of us ends up getting sick afterward. That should’ve been our sign to stop giving them chances, but we tried to support them as a local spot. Big mistake.

The service wasn’t terrible, just really lazy. We were seated and then mostly forgotten about. It took forever to get our drinks, which were $3.50 for basic fountain sodas...ridiculously overpriced! They got my mom’s drink wrong, and instead of making a fresh one, they just dumped it out and reused the same cup. That’s a clear health code violation.

The chips were old and stale, the salsa tasted off, and the food was dry, overcooked, and clearly microwaved. The beans were watery and bland, worse than any homemade version I’ve ever had. Honestly, everything tasted like it was made from leftover scraps from earlier in the week.

There were flies buzzing around our table the whole time, which made eating really uncomfortable. Honestly, the whole experience felt like we were sitting on the set of Kitchen Nightmares, just waiting for Gordon Ramsay to walk in, yell at the kitchen, and shut it down.

And don’t even get me started on the prices. They’ve gone up about 15% since they opened. It feels like they’re just taking advantage of the popularity while cutting corners on food and cleanliness.

You could watch a few TikTok or Instagram cooking videos and make yourself a much better meal at home. Save your money, your stomach, and your time. we’re...
