4/9/2025 After seeing all the 5 star reviews since my last visit, I actually decided to try Shiso again. My family and I were really happy with what we got, so Shiso is back to being amazing!

2/20/2025 Sadly, I'm here to edit my review. My family ordered the same as usual, but what we got was almost half the vegetables, 5 shrimp each (we literally ordered with "extra shrimp"), and very empty greasy spring rolls, without teriyaki in the hibachi. I don't know if the restaurant has a veggie/shrimp shortage, but my family is going to learn to make our own hibachi now. :(

Old Review: My family has ordered take-out from Shiso many times, and we're never disappointed with the food! I've gotten the shrimp tempura roll, which was delicious, but I usually get the shrimp hibachi, which is simply amazing! The yum yum sauce, teriyaki sauce, spring rolls, and crab cheese are also really good! Sadly, while the milk tea is really good, the actual tapioca pearls in it don't seem to be cooked properly, so their texture is very odd and powdery. We order hibachi here frequently, and I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great hibachi or sushi! Jan 9th, 2025 Edit: My family ordered the same meal as usual, but we ordered it with teriyaki sauce and no onions. The order came with onions and no teriyaki, and, for the first time ever, there were bell peppers and a bunch of cracked black pepper on the meal. The spring rolls were also burnt. This experience was disappointing, to say the least, but we've gotten this meal SO MANY times, and it's always done right, so I'm gonna assume this was a fluke. Hoping the next order is as good as usual, since it's one of my...

We stopped in for an early dinner and to try a new sushi spot. Unfortunately, the service wasn't wonderful. The sushi was ok, but not the best, and we had a side of lo mein which took an additional 7 minutes to get to the table. The Tempera Keywest would be delish, but it's overly breaded so that's about all you can taste. The Torched Salmon is most definitely not seared, more like microwaved. No drink refill was ever offered on an empty tea, and there were only to-go customers [2] that came in so they weren't busy. When the waiter came back to our table, he asked if we needed anything, I said I would love some more tea or a to-go one, so he brings a to-go tea, and charged me another $2.50. I thought simple mistake, but no, he tells me he has to charge for a to-go tea... completely ridiculous when I never even got a refill. By the way, my toddler got a tea, brought in a to-go cup, and it was the same price. And, if there were a difference, the waiter should have made note to me and let me decide, it's definitely not on the menu as such. They did make it right but when the other young lady came to the table I tried to explain, and she just blew me off. I asked if we would be charged for a to-go box or if I could take my daughter's left overs... didn't want another charge. At that time other customers were coming in and seated so I'm sure they wanted to stay hushed about the issue. Maybe they're new and need breaking in , but hospitality shouldn't be something we need...

Great to see this place open up in the area!! We tried a variety of options including the Thai yellow curry, pad Thai, a few sushi rolls, calamari, and the egg rolls. To start, the sushi was great and we highly recommend. Same for the egg rolls! The yellow curry was flavorful and was one of the better curries you can get in the area for under $20, not the best in Greenville but a solid choice none the less. The pad Thai was a slight let down, it wasn’t necessarily bad, but there was a miss with the flavor and tasted bland. I ordered it level 5 spicy and simply didn’t taste a single hint of heat and only a subtle taste of tamarind which should have more of a punch. The calamari was a disappointment, it was overly salty and not very crispy. Seemed like some sort of seasoning packet was used to flavor but understanding we are in a hard spot for great calamari not a huge surprise. Overall a great spot for the area and we...

I wanted to try this place for a while since it's the closest Japanese place to where I live. It was fantastic! We went Sunday after church and they had lunch specials until 3:00! Atmosphere was nice and clean. Nothing crazy fancy. They did have a digital touchscreen menu where you could place your order if you were getting takeout which I thought was pretty cool. Our two youngest(5&6) split a Bento box and our two oldest(13&8) had their own. My wife had the hibachi steak and I had the chicken. The chicken and steak were perfect and flavorful! Our kids really liked the house made duck sauce. A family of 6 ate for under $60 and everyone was satisfied! Will definitely be back, especially knowing that we don't have to drive half way across town to get our hibachi fix! 😋

Great vegan options. I tried the sweet potato roll it was amazing. I also had the lo mein it was good but didn’t have any veggies (cabbage onions nothing just the noodles) but still they were really tasty. I also got the coconut rice, it has large chunks of pineapple in it like they came out of a can? Which I felt was a miss because the pineapple flavor/juice was surprisingly so good in the rice but the actual pineapple pieces were terrible. The staff was so friendly and helpful! I’ll definitely be returning

Service was great! They seem to do a large carry out business which is unfortunate because the inside is super clean and pretty. We got the Yellow Curry and Pad Thai which were super savory and delicious. Ordered 2 sushi rolls which were both excellent. Food came out fast. We will definitely be back. Got bubble tea to go which was a tasty dessert to finish up a great meal!
