Sumo sushi — Restaurant in South Carolina

🤢AWFUL. Maybe we caught them on an off night, but their hibachi made 3 of 4 in our party seriously violently ill. The meat just tasted off and spoiled. I threw it all up ten minutes after finishing the 1/4 portion I ate. Glad I did bc my mom was visiting the toilet all night from both ends. And my dad (who has a stomach of steel for spoiled foods), said he was going to throw out their to go menu bc it just wasn’t that good. He was the only one who didn’t get sick, but still didn’t like it. It will save you three bucks a dish compared to other local hibachi places but SO NOT worth it. The fact that my cheap father will throw out their cheaper menu is a true testimony to the quality of their food. This is just a sushi review. It is not worth eating. It is served to you like grocery store sushi, plastic containers with fake grass partitions, but the grocery store version is better. There are only 6 types of “fish”: tuna, eel, shrimp, fake crab, snow crab, salmon. The spicy tuna roll had no spice or real flavor, and had a canned cat food consistency because it lacked texture. The Hawaiian Roll had tempura shrimp (it was very fried) and fake crab. It was flavorless. The other 2 rolls I ordered were also just bland and squishy. When I call they have to put me on hold, wanna know why? Cause this place STAYS busy! This place is off the chain. Gone here multiple times and its just as good each time! Definitely one of the best Japanese/Sushi places in Beaufort County. Food was fresh, hot, and fast. What more can you ask for?!
