This was our first time at this tavern it came very highly recommended. To start the service was very slow we sat down at 6 and didn’t get our food until 7:28. To make it even worse 4 people at our table ordered the ribeye sandwich this was also very highly recommended all of them were burnt. We did go ahead and eat the sandwiches since we had waited so long. When the waitress came over after we were done eating and ask us how the food was I politely told here that our food was burnt and even save some of each to show her. The response she gave was it wasn’t her fault she was sorry. She also said that the owners weren’t there that day and the service was suffering for it. The server then got our checks nothing discounted or comp but she did tell the kitchen our food was burnt. I mean I wished the owners would have been there maybe we would have had a better experience. I was very disappointed.
Update we gave Typsy Tavern another shot on 8-13-21 and I must say it did not disappoint. The wings were amazing and absolutely loved the southwest egg rolls. The owner reached out to us and took care of us it was amazing so much so we returned again on 8-20-21 and I must say it was better this time then the previous trips I must say that ribeye steak sandwich was banging lol we...
Read moreExtremely unprofessional, not that I would expect outstanding professionalism from a hole in the wall bar in Anderson in the first place. The “owner” accused a member of our group of stealing a Jenga block after he had a few drinks and had already paid, and we were preparing to leave. Not that it necessarily matters, but the group of men that night are all firemen and EMTs, first responders who make more than enough money to buy their own precious Jenga blocks if they so choose all while putting their lives on the line for others. It’s a shame you can’t support local establishments without the owner making herself look like an i d i o t and accusing paying patrons of stealing a cheap game.
To the owner (maybe just an air headed bartender?) who so ignorantly stated she would “pull the tapes”- please do. We will gladly sit and watch them with you.
If you support first responders in any capacity I would seek better food, drinks, and...
Read moreFantastic people, drinks, food, and atmosphere! You won’t find the owners sitting at a table watching as their staff struggles to serve their customers. Instead, you will see them working together with their staff – leading from the front. Considering the labor shortage and constant turnover, they somehow manage to foster an inviting & friendly atmosphere. The modest partition between the bar/dining and entertainment area afore conversations to continue through dinner without sacrificing an open concept. I visit often and thoroughly enjoy...
