IN REALITYA BIG FAT NEGATIVE 10...…. I have been a waitress for about 25 years so when I go out to eat I look at everything. When we got there we sat at the low counter. The waitress that we has was fairly new from what we gathered, that's fine I take that into consideration when she looked a little overwhelmed and said you can put your order in and come back, well she never came back. Another waitress took our order for her and gave it to her. About 30 min goes by and I receive the waffle I ordered and you could see through it. Saying something to "THE NIGHT MANAGER" she cooks me another one that comes out almost burnt still super thin. 45 min into this still no drink or any of the rest of our order. 4 waitstaff later and the cook that wasn't even on duty brings us drinks and tries to find out why we have no food. The cook that was on duty decides to step in and cook the Porkchop dinner that was ordered. IT ARRIVES AND IS WAY UNDERCOOKED. This whole time 3 of them are on and off the phone with some manager at home and saying we were complaining and raising hell. We ordered a cheese steak omelet to replace the porkchop dinner...… EPIC FAIL the EGGS were scorched. To say the least besides the untrained, unprofessional, lack of morale and willingness to work. The store was nasty and very unorganized for functionality. My serious suggestion would be to take a major step back and look at what is representing your chain and you as a...
Read moreThe only reason for the 1 star is because I need to add it in order to leave a comment. My husband and I had been traveling for hours and decided to stop here to grab a bite to eat since it was getting late and Waffle House is something we know and like. Bad choice here! There were two employees behind the counter, neither greeted us, and one called out for someone else (who we assume would be the server). One of them finally approached us to bring silverware and menus. A third person comes out and sat at the counter going through tickets, still no acknowledgement as to what we’d like to drink or anything, and she too asked for someone who again we’re assuming is supposed to be our server. 15 minutes went by and we decided to go to Wendy’s. Not even an acknowledgment as we walked out. We sat in the nearby parking lot as we ate our food, to notice that one employee was sitting in a car on the phone and another in front of the store on the phone as well. Two cars pull up, three people went inside, then all came back out, one of them came out with drinks. They stuck around so it seems this is a hang out, rather than a place of business. Sad to say this is the worst Waffle House we have ever been to, and after reading the reviews, it seems this is an ongoing problem. Something...
Read moreAbsolutely horrible all around. We are on our way to Charleston for a family vacation and we stopped to eat. We LOVE Waffle House. As soon as we walked in all we could smell was strong mop water. No one greeted us when we walked in and when we did sit down in an area that didn’t stink, the waitress came up and said “what do you want to eat?” No hi, hello, nothing. My 6 year old daughter ordered chocolate milk and when she got it and took a drink she made a funny face because the milk was SPOILED. I told the waitress and she said “ok. Do you want something else to drink?” No “I’m sorry,” or any type of remorse shown from her. My husband brought all of this to the attention of the manager who just said “ok sir.” Mind you this was the gentleman sitting at the bar area just chatting about life, ignoring customers, not doing any work, anything. The waitress never came back and another gentleman ended up being the ones to refill our drinks. The manager should have done more by apologizing, kissing our butts the rest of our visit, something! Food was terrible also! What a shame. These employees and manager need...
