My daughter and I love Waffle house and we try to swing by and eat at least once a week. We normally go to exit 19 one but Today we decided to come to exit 21 to eat instead. I'm glad we did. Service was fantastic! Our waitress was Crystal. She was very kind. She made sure we had everything we needed and order was cooked correctly and to perfection! I'm very picky about my bacon 🥓! I want it cooked all the way through but not crispy or burnt kinda limp. Over medium is what I cook it at home and it's always perfect. My instructions were clear and Crystal got the memo. My daughter ordered her usual the bacon 🥓 hashbrown bowl and I had the two egg breakfast, bacon grits and toast with grape 🍇 jelly. It was delicious. Grits were warm and butter 🧈 melted perfectly. Usually all grits are served luke warm at most places so it doesn't burn customers but not here at this waffle house! I like them good and warm/hot to melt my butter. You can tell the cook knows his skill on the grill n in the kitchen. Especially when cooking 🍳 breakfast. You serve customers what you would eat or as if ur making you something good. (That's what I have been taught while working in Restaurants. ) Thanks Crystal for a great experience and we will be back soon! We will return to this location. It was worth the extra few miles. I highly recommend this location. Ask for Crystal if she's available to serve you. Don't 4get to tip her....
Read moreWe were visiting from Texas. No Waffle House near us. Remembered trying it in Louisiana, loved it there. At this location, it was FREEZING, could literally see your breath. Staff informed us that they keep it cold bc it's hot near the grill...but there has to be consideration for guests' comfort, one would think. We went on Halloween, wait staff were friendly enough but completely, totally inattentive to the diners. Multiple parties left. One order of waffle came only after we repeatedly asked, then one member in our group gave up and never got his. The wait staff was too focused on chatting with presumably regulars? The poor manager was seen constantly informing wait staff to clear booths, get orders out, etc. I'm originally from Los Angeles, worked in a busy restaurant before. That place doesn't even seat that many people. I found the wait ridiculous and the service extremely unprofessional. My husband's family who live there are WAY more patient than anyone I know! The food was completely cold within minutes. My nieces and I actually had to step outside to warm off, it was so incredibly cold. Terrible, terrible experience. The manager that day...
Read moreCrystal our waitress was very polite and nice. The only problem with the food was, they charge .50cents for toppings for the hash brown, I asked for sauteed onions not raw ones and I also got the ham (can't remember the terminology) I got like 4 cubes of ham. I only brought the raw onions to her attention and she took the easy way out to say she'll remove the onions from the bill AN ENTIRE .50CENTS WHOOOO HOOOO. I'm a flight attendant and also been in customer service for more than 20 years and I think the proper thing to do was offered to bring me sauteed onions. It probably was a training thing because like I said she was really nice to us. She did apologize...
