El Pollo Loco — Restaurant in South Gate

Last Sunday, I order from El Pollo Loco website. Since the website gave me the option of delivery, I took that option. I was really trying to avoid contact with people given the covid-19 situation. I made my order of more than $50 and waited for my food to get delivered. I had the website open to tell me the process which was great. Unfortunately, the website gave me an update that my food had been delivered but I had not received my food. I called the store several times, but I did not receive any response. I was forced to go to the store and request a solution for my issue. When I arrived, I was told that if my food was not delivered it was not their issue that I had to fix it with the people who delivered it. I told them that I ordered from the website and that it prompt me to contact the store for any issues. They kept telling me that it was an issue of the people who delivered it and to contact them. I had no way of knowing who was delivering my food since I ordered from the El Pollo Loco website!! Thank fully an employee understood my situation and advocated for me to get my food since I was not willing to lose my money. The “manager” or “supervisor” was very rude and not helpful at all. He was not willing to listen to my issue and clearly did not understood how deliveries made through the website worked. I’m giving this review to Pollo Loco because I came in tonight to buy a tostada salad because I was running late to pick up my kids from the babysitter and also I bought 4 churros for my kids one of the employees let the cashier know there was no more churros when she kept claiming their some they give me the churros they were cold hard and no sugar on them I don’t like to complain because I work in customer service field and I know it’s hard but you know what it’s better if you say you know what Mmmm sorry we don’t have churros at the moment and reimburse the money or you know place another order I think when you’re fast food restaurant it’s a reason why we stop to that restaurant because we’re running late to work we’re coming late from work and don’t have the time to get home and cook the employees were not busy they were more talking about having a party reunion and more I hope you guys read this and make a...

Even though there isn't a drive thru and one has to walk in the restaurant in order to place a request. It's probably the best El Pollo Loco restaurant nearby my area in contrast to the Tweedy and Imperial Hwy locations. Although, it is a 10 minute drive and a 40 minute walk to my home, the travel is all worthwhile. It's been over two months since I've actually dined in, but I'm only able to address pleasant experiences upon the employees and atmosphere of the restaurant. It's presentable, the food is prepared at a reasonable time, bathrooms are clean, and condiments are neatly arranged via counter. It's uncontroversial to state, that the employees deeply care for the integrity and prioritize the quality of their cooking for the customer. Most importantly, the food is appetizing to anybody that loves chicken. Overall, it's the best El Pollo Loco...
