Tacos La Chule Mexican Restaurant & Bar II — Restaurant in South Haven

My husband and I went to this restaurant last night, July 31, 2025 and was very disappointed. We got seated right away, The waiter asked for our drink order and a food order right away, but this was our first time so we hadn’t even looked at the menu yet so we told him we would let him know. He came back every couple seconds and then after we ordered, then we never seen our waiter anfter that except for when he brought the food. It was basically taco seasoned burger. I fart each of the meals came with lettuce, tomato, sour cream and salsa, but they didn’t so I asked for salsa and sour cream, but the salsa never made it to the table.My husband‘s tamale was dry. We had to flag down any worker that walked by in order to get another beverage and then when it came time to pay the bill, we had to do the same because our waiter was busy with other tables on the other side of the restaurant. I ordered one strawberry margarita and it was $15. Nowhere on the menu or the prices of the margaritas but $15 is a little much. I would not recommend this restaurant. Food was definitely not authentic Mexican. There were other waiters that were working their butt off at their tables, but unfortunately, our waiter was not...

Was craving some good food and this did NOT disappoint. The young gentleman owner was always working and greeting people and actually waiting on tables. The atmosphere was welcoming and the little bar area was well stocked (IPA beer on tap and liquor) The food.... well, I make my first judgement on the salsa served. If the salsa doesn't have flavor, most likely the rest doesn't. This salsa was very flavorful. Nice hint of cilantro and spice for flavor. We devoured it!. Our entrees were the Pollo mucho loco (chicken, shrimp, peppers, onion, rice) with the fixings and the birria taco platter (4 birria tacos). Excellent!!! We would go back and order the exact items because they were so good, but also just want to go back to try the other menu items! Tacos LA Chule was awesome! The food was so good! All 4 of us loved our meals. Carne asada tacos, flautas, birria tacos, and sopas. The rice was on point! It wasn't dry and no veggies in it, just the way I love it! We lived in Arizona for 30 years and know good Mexican food. Tacos La Chule nails it! Now for the service. Super friendly and fast. Danny is very personable and made sure we liked everything. Chips and drinks were refilled quickly. Food came out fast. The atmosphere was upbeat. Everyone was having a great time. There are several TVs and they had at least 3 different basketball games on. Some patrons were enjoying the games. It wasn't noisy, we could easily carry on a conversation at our table. I can't wait to return and work my way through the menu! Also, I was glad to hear they are working on adding Diet Mountain Dew and iced tea...
