Located just north of the Sand Bar State Park, this is the closest place from the park for food and drinks.
Aside from the food available, there is a shop with lots of local Vermont products. There is a large parking lot in front, with a smaller lot and two porta potties behind the building. There are a few tables and chairs with shade and a large grass field next to the lot.
Best bet is something sweet. The hot food menu is basic and the quality isn't the best. Salmon burger tasted okay, but was premade. Fries weren't seasoned with any salt at all and were well done. The only time possible to add salt to fries is within the 30 seconds it comes out of the fryer. After that, salt will not stick to the fries (or any fried food).
Luckily, they offer lots of sweets, including many flavors of Hershey's ice cream, as well as cremees and sundaes. The maple and black raspberry twist cremee was very good.
This is an easy quick stop on a hot day for something sweet...

Get the sandwich and there was no cheese on it anyways! Not to mention when I said to girl at window β Iβll have the cod sandwich with cheeseβ( verbatim from menu), she was like β we have a fish sandwich β??? Okβ¦. And then paid her and she counts on her fingers. This is the second time at this place and it is a joke, overpriced tourist trap. Oh and the wearing of gloves thingβ¦..sorry, but I am in healthcare and if you are preparing food with the gloves and then going out back and talking on your cell phone with the same gloves on and then going back in and preparing food with same gloves, why bother with the gloves?? Who you protecting with the gloves??? Just...
