I've been to Mexican restraunts all over the country, and this was quite possibly the worst.
Service was bad. If I hadn't happened to walk in on the restraunt side and ask where the bar was, and get walked there, I likely wouldn't have been noticed for at least 30 minutes, which is about the amount of time in between someone coming to check on the bar, since there was no dedicated bartender at the time apparently. When there WAS someone at the bar, the gentleman seemed more interested in speaking to the three people at the far end than asking me if I needed anything. If I had had cash on me, I would have paid for the beer and went over to Kahill's instead.
The entire place smelled like old pee.
The chips tasted of nothing but fryer oil, and the salsa was worse than anything I've had in a jar, and as usual, I dripped some on the bar. No bartender in sight to ask for napkins though. Finally got to place my order after nearly finishing my jumbo beer, and I got the arroz tejano with a side of refried beans. The food came out quick, but that's to be expected at a Mexican restaurant. It wasn't very flavorful, in fact it was bland, which is crazy considering it's steak, shrimp, chicken, rice, onion, peppers, and cheese and should be packed with flavor. The refried beans were thin, and had a strange flavor, almost as if they added cinnamon. I finished most of the bland meal before someone finally came to check on me, and I could finally get some hot sauce. The house hot sauce was the best part of the meal by far, very flavorful, so it's a shame I only got it once I was 2/3 through my meal. If this hadn't been the first thing I had to eat all day, I would have sent the food back, paid for my drink and left for Kahill's next door.

Read moreFirst time in this restaurant since it's changed ownership. We had the Supreme Nachos (minus the sour creme) and vegetable enchiladas with rice. The vegetables were fresh, and the enchiladas tasted amazing. The nachos supreme had fresh toppings and tasted amazing, as well. Service was fine and waitress attentive to our needs without being at our table every second. The restaurant was not too busy. The complimentary salsa was delicious, so much, bought a container to go. Will return. It's worth a try if you haven't been or had a bad experience before. Update- 10.1.25 posted new pics of food order. As usual, amazing. The food and service are worth the drive an/or the money spent....
Read moreSo I judge over hospitality and overall management, which lead me to this outcome. You will never find me here again, they lost more than I did more so because the waitress gave me a $10 bill a $1 bill and change… so you know what they got ? $165 ? And I never been to a restaurant that made me feel so uncomfortable. I speak Spanish, a lot of it. So I joked is this Mexicana ? She said yes, i said there’s no party ? Fiesta in Spanish and just hated me since then!! I’ve had better food and for the price. I don’t like giving a bad review but I don’t like bad service. As you can see if you check out my reviews!!! Hope you have a better experience than...
