Bellacino's Pizza & Grinders — Restaurant in South Point

I travel to St. Louis often so when I found out that's where this place started I had to try it. My initial reaction...meh. Maybe it was because we ordered through DoorDash so maybe it wasn't as good not being straight out of then oven so I'm trying to be as fair as possible. We got 2 grinders (cheesesteak, pizza), a calzone and a cheesy breadstick. The food was OK, nothing outstanding, maybe my expectations were too high. It was pretty cold by the time it arrived and I've driven home with food from that area many of times so I know it really shouldn't have been as cold as it was so it makes me wonder just how fresh everything was to begin with. The onion rings were a real disappointment. I LOVE onion rings and order them from about anywhere that has them and these were definitely not in the 'Amazing!" category, didn't get any better when I heated them in the air fryer either and that's usually a fix for about any of them. The grinders we ordered were big, bigger than expected actually, but I don't feel like they were worth the price. With Subways new melt sandwiches I could have gotten almost just as much and a very similar sandwich for half the price. Also, the cheesesteak grinder claims to be ribeye and I feel very confident saying it's some pretty poor quality if it's even ribeye at all. It tasted like typical roast beef and not even what I'd call great roast beef. I didn't taste the calzone but my husband gets them often and his opinion was, "It's not the worst I've had but it's definitely not the best. And, it was definitely overpriced." The cheese sticks were about the same, not the best and not the worst. I didn't like that to get "the meal" with my sandwich my only option for a drink was Coke, I HATE Coke but my husband drank it as to not just throw it out and this may only be a problem if you're using a delivery service as I am not sure how things are in person/for pickup. I mean, to sum it up, I've had better for a lot less. I probably won't be eating there again. If I do it will be in restaurant, I'll order smaller portions and I'll skip the cheesesteak and stick with pizza/cheese stick type foods. I included pictures of everything except the calzone, the picture with my hand is beside HALF of a grinder....

Our overall experience was not pleasant. The lady who took our order acted like she didn’t want to be there. We order a combo meal and we didn’t receive a cup for the drink so we asked about the bottled drinks and she acted like she didn’t know what we were talking about. The place was absolutely disgusting. There was about 2 cleans tables in the entire place. We had to wipe down one ourself just to have one big enough. There was trash and crumbs all over the floor. The tables were filled with trash that was never cleaned. We were the only two people in there for about 45mins and not one single worker came to clean up the dining area. We asked for some ketchup for our fries and he brings out 3 small packages for a basket of fries. We received no plates for the pizza we ordered. I guess they just expected us to eat off the pizza stand. Again the man acted like he didn’t wanna be there and we were bothering them by showing up. The food was decent overall, but the cleanliness of the restaurant has deterred me from ever going there again. If I was the owner I’d be ashamed and be asking questions on why it’s a mess. I understand covid is happening and places are understaffed, but we were the only ones in there and no one in the drive through. It wouldn’t have taken but 10-15mins to get it back into...

I got the cheesy breadsticks, 6 hot bone in wings, an 8 inch cheese pizza, and a basket of fries. The wings were extremely small, the biggest one was probably the size of my thump (I'm a teenage girl so you can imagine). Taste wise they were nothing to write home about, they werent bad but they were in no way worth the price (10 bucks for 6 pigeon wing looking things). The fries were not impressive either, they tasted a bit undercooked and definitely had no seasoning. But the pizza and cheese breatsticks were delicious, especially the cheese breadsticks. They were a good size for me and well seasoned, they were very delicious. The pizzas flavour was pretty good, they were generous with both the sauce and the cheese, but if you like crust I wouldn't recommend it. The crust was dry and slightly burnt and certainly unseasoned. The service was fine, no one was rude or anything, but the room was pretty dirty. We ended up picking the least dirty table and sitting there. There was a bunch of white stuff strewn about the floor (probably flour or something).
