Dairy Queen — Restaurant in South Portland

Drove 45 minutes to come here to get 2 royal cheesecake blizzards, which are my favorite summer treat.. i expected it to be a usual satisfying experience. Not only did they not flip the blizzard, but it was soupy,half melted- not mixed up as the strawberry filling was just sitting on top dripping everywhere, making a mess. I returned it to the employee, not even asking for a free one.But just to blend it better, because it was literally getting everywhere.All over the cup, all over me.If I wanted that, I would have gone to a different ice cream place and gotten a split and expected the mess. This particular location didn't honor rewards.They don't offer food and they definitely don't offer the flip it or it's free blizzard tradition. I will not be coming back to this location.And i'm not satisfied. I'm not sure if the employee wasn't taught how to mix a blizzard, or if they just didn't care.But they did not try very hard to fix this issue.And did not seem to care if I was satisfied or not. I had my boyfriend order me a small birthday cake dipped cone with crunch coat. He told me they couldn't do the crunch coat on top of the dip and offered to just dip ice cream in the birthday cake coating in the dish, with the crunch coat sprinkled on top and a cone on top. I said this sounded great, but when it came out it was incredibly disappointing. The birthday cake dip was pure watery syrup, and the crunch coat was all stuck to the inside of the cone and not at all on the ice cream itself. The syrup eventually hardened to the sides of the cup and was totally inedible. When trying to chip it off the sides with a spoon it exploded all over my brand new pants...

I went to the South Portland, Maine location on August 11, 2019 at 6:07 pm and the person I was with got a chocolate shake. The worst smell of filthy, sweaty hands was so strong on the cover of the shake that it made the person gag when they were drinking. This person gagged so much they almost vomited. We have been patrons of D.Q. on Main St. Westbrook, Maine for so long..this is so DISSAPOINTING! I wished there was a zero star option because a "1 star" is not even deserved! We will never go to the South Portland location...
