Luigi's Deli, Butcher Shop & Catering — Restaurant in South Toms River

I had called a few days prior to placing an order spoke to s very helpful young lady! I wanted a small tray of sandwiches and wraps! Since their sandwich trays were $50-70, for 15-20 people, and I only needed enough for 6, she suggested placing a small order only thing was I would have to pay $7 extra for the tray! Well I called back a day later to order, and unfortunately did not get her on the phone but rather a guy who wasn’t as nice or helpful! I ended up getting 6 sandwiches on dinner rolls, smaller than a hamburger roll and 2 wraps! I asked what this would cost and of course this guy said he couldn’t give me the price had to figure it out! I was unpleasantly surprised at the bill when I picked up the tray for these very small and rather meager sandwiches the bill was $51. A tray for 15 people is $59-70, so why would a tray for 6 people be $51. And then when I questioned this, I was told they had charged me $3 for each of the meager dinner roll sandwiches, so $18 for small dinner roll sandwiches and I guess $26 for 2 wraps and $7 for tray! Taxes in there somewhere! My bill doesn’t even have prices on it so I can’t tell you what I spent! I feel like I was overcharged and treated with disrespectful and as I turned around to leave disgusted, he tells me have a nice day! I would never walk in there again wish I had gotten his name because the ladies there...

Update 3/1/23 I couldn't figure out how to do another review so I'm adding g to this one in heart failure losing my mind went to get my favorite food in the world anything from Luigi's and lost my food stamps in the store and diligently 90% of their employees took turns between making the store run so smoothly I'm helping me find my food stamps card they went above and beyond everything they had to do and I could not be more thankful or feel more blessed I will continue to always shop here please do not ever leave South Toms River I come all the way from seaside to make sure that I get the highest quality food for my family when it comes to fresh meats and produce and fair prices I love Luigi's!!!!!👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯 Thank you guys so much! So dissapointed paid $300 for a catered thanksgiving dinner nothing was good. I had guests and was embarrassed Even with heating up the sides As Told the potatoes were waterlogged and the pasta was supposed to be a vodka sauce taste it like Ragu and it was very very dry and the tray of chicken was very dry as well and I was supposed to get cutlets turned out that it was all the fat and ends of the chicken the stuffing was very salty taste like stove top right out of the box do yourself a favor do not get any holiday catered I thought because I was calling an Italian Delicatessen they would do a better job very disappointed never will be back and I used to work going there all the time I wish I could not even leave one star not deserved disappointed and ruined my holiday for my family and all of my guests do better Luigi's next time if anyone even orders after reading this I would tread...
