This restaurant used to be amazing. Fresh food, a great dining experience, attentive staff, etc. It’s gradually been going downhill but after my last experience I won’t be returning.
I took my father out for his birthday to get the all you can eat dinner. We started by ordering off the appetizer menu. Not only did we not get served half the food we ordered, but we got half frozen half steaming edamame the first time. When we sent it back and asked for fresh edamame we got raw edamame. We additionally ordered sashimi and the first time it got brought out to us it was missing 6 pieces. When the 6 additional pieces were brought out to us they were warm. Warm, raw fish that’s supposed to be served chilled. We stopped ordering fish after that due to concern we’d get a food borne illness since FRESH raw fish should not be warm. When we were ordering desert I ordered a bowl of soup which was not brought out to us.
The service was extremely slow. There were many open booths and tables, yet it took 30+ minutes every time we ordered something and additional 15+ minutes for the missing items to be served to us. The waitress was constantly forgetting to bring back our menu, which further added to the wait since you cant order without getting your menu back. We had to get 3 new menus while we were there because the kitchen continuously spilled sauces and food all over our menus. I can only imagine what the entire kitchen looks like.
I asked the manager for a discount because of the service and food quality. He tried to argue with me that ordering 5 pieces of nigiri was too much per person even though the menu said you can order 5 pieces per person and there was 2 of us eating. After correcting the manager on what the restaurants policy was the best he could do was offer 10% off which was about $6. I insisted the least he could do was take off the additional 2 x $5.99 charge for the sashimi/sushi per person because we never got a full order at once and we were being served warm raw fish and he refused.
The quality in the restaurant has completely went downhill. It definitely needs a change in management and the chefs and wait staff need additional training to learn how to serve a complete order and follow proper food handling. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone anymore, which is a shame considering I used to recommend this place...
Read moreI love Lilly’s their sushi is beyond amazing and for $20 it’s a steal of a deal. I have always had an AMAZING experience there and I tell all my sushi loving friends about it. It’s nice inside and it’s delcious and well priced food and usually very polite staff, (what’s not to like??) I put “usually” because all the other times I’ve been to Lilly’s I have had good service until I went there the other night with my two friends, the food was amazing (as usual) and it was a fun time until we got the check. The bill came to $63 and some change, I gave the money for the bill and waited for my change and to give a tip (even though the waitress herself wasn’t very good, she wasn’t even the one who came and filled up out waters not even once but I understand to an extent I was a waitress sometimes you’re busy so I could excuse that) the waitress takes the bill I gave $65 the waitress opened the bill book in front of us and saw that it was $65 and immediately gave me a very dirty look. She turns around and hands me incorrect change and then says to me “so tip isn’t included and I’ll wait right here for my tip” her comment dumbfounded me and I didnt realize what she had said right away and my friend had to tell me and the waitress said it again “I’ll just wait here for my tip” and stood right in front of our table staring at us and making me and my friends very uncomfortable. I could forgive her not coming around much (or really at all, again I was a waitress and I understand that sometimes you’re busy) but for her to say “tip isn’t included so I’ll just wait here” is so outrageous if I EVER said to a customer “I’ll wait for my tip here” or anything like that I would have been fired on the spot. Now mind you I was going to give her a tip even though her service wasn’t all that good but for her to have the audacity to say that she didn’t get anything, I found her comment to be very rude and it made everyone at the table very uncomfortable.
