Hi all, it’s Rebecca!😁 Today I went with a group of my closest friends to Lily’s for sushi (chicken for me).😋 We had such great food although the service did get on my nerves quite a bit. But other than that it was an all around great experience. They have great drinks and a good size menu. I will definitely be going back for all you can eat sushi another day! Although I wish all you can eat chicken was a thing, LOL! 🤣 I hope you all are able to try this delicious food one day in Allentown, PA. First of all, I want to preface by saying I’ve been a waitress before for many years so I have a higher tolerance than most for services at restaurants. Conclusion: wanted to really think positively about the whole place but honestly NOT impressed. The sushi rolls were mediocre, both waitresses we came into contact with were extremely rude, and we sat waiting 45min for our last order. Yeah $23.99 AYCE is worth it - if you like subpar sushi, unbelievably rude service, and getting full in between the plates served. Here are the reasons for the above conclusion. - took 30 minutes to be seated (by a lovely hostess honestly wish the tip could all just go to her) - took 20 more minutes to even get waters - got dirty plates and when asked for a replacement for clean ones, was given a dirty look, no apology, just grabbed and walked away - took about 30 minutes from sit down to get our order which we placed as soon as we sat down and it wasn’t correct - we spoke to the hostess about our order since our waitress was nowhere to be found and hadn’t bothered to check on us and SHE had checked in on us - was explained the limit was 3 servings per order placed (which I get for rolls, but we were ordering sashimi pieces and it felt a little ridiculous to get 3 pieces of fish every 25 minutes) - we were hungry (hence finding an AYCE) so we tried to put in as many orders as we could which was near impossible because the waitress was barely coming to the table - another different waitress then came to us and complained to us that we shouldn’t keep ordering small orders so frequently and she asked us how many we would want and grabbed the pencil from my husbands hand and wrote down the number herself (seems a bit disorganized and rude to me) - the restaurant closes at 10:30pm yet the last call to order is at 9:30pm we were seated at 7:30pm and were barely full by 8:30pm because of the absence of any urgency whatsoever of the service to serve the customers - we put another order in at 8:30pm and waited 45 minutes to get it

We also ordered more rolls than we were given but they didn’t express this to us so we didn’t choose the 6 we got. In addition, our original menu was thrown back on the table with all types of gunk on it from the kitchen. DISGUSTING!! Next round we limited the appetizers and they did come out a bit hotter but the sushi unfortunately was 70%rice, 20% sauce, and 10% filling. We only got 5 of the 6 rolls we ordered and they were not of good quality. At this point we decided we didn’t want anymore because it simply wasn’t good, we went to order ice cream and the waitress took the paper and pencil from my husband wrote it in herself, smacked down our check, and walked away. Let me say, the ice cream was the best part of the whole meal. After paying, the waitress brought back a receipt with 18,20, and 25% gratuity options only, and they were boldly circled! Bold of them to assume that bad service and a poor customer service attitude would warrant such a tip. Couldn’t not recommend this place enough! Jasmines Asian House is much better quality for the price.

This restaurant used to be amazing. Fresh food, a great dining experience, attentive staff, etc. It’s gradually been going downhill but after my last experience I won’t be returning.

I took my father out for his birthday to get the all you can eat dinner. We started by ordering off the appetizer menu. Not only did we not get served half the food we ordered, but we got half frozen half steaming edamame the first time. When we sent it back and asked for fresh edamame we got raw edamame. We additionally ordered sashimi and the first time it got brought out to us it was missing 6 pieces. When the 6 additional pieces were brought out to us they were warm. Warm, raw fish that’s supposed to be served chilled. We stopped ordering fish after that due to concern we’d get a food borne illness since FRESH raw fish should not be warm. When we were ordering desert I ordered a bowl of soup which was not brought out to us.

The service was extremely slow. There were many open booths and tables, yet it took 30+ minutes every time we ordered something and additional 15+ minutes for the missing items to be served to us. The waitress was constantly forgetting to bring back our menu, which further added to the wait since you cant order without getting your menu back. We had to get 3 new menus while we were there because the kitchen continuously spilled sauces and food all over our menus. I can only imagine what the entire kitchen looks like.

I asked the manager for a discount because of the service and food quality. He tried to argue with me that ordering 5 pieces of nigiri was too much per person even though the menu said you can order 5 pieces per person and there was 2 of us eating. After correcting the manager on what the restaurants policy was the best he could do was offer 10% off which was about $6. I insisted the least he could do was take off the additional 2 x $5.99 charge for the sashimi/sushi per person because we never got a full order at once and we were being served warm raw fish and he refused.

The quality in the restaurant has completely went downhill. It definitely needs a change in management and the chefs and wait staff need additional training to learn how to serve a complete order and follow proper food handling. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone anymore, which is a shame considering I used to recommend this place...

  • PLEASE READ WHY AND ONLY WHY I GAVE THREE STAR RATING * I was told about Lili's Awesome Authentic Sushi and tempora ( not a sushi fan ). I was expecting great customer Service and great Atmosphere , what i got instead was not what i Expected. I work for Capital Blue cross ( Allentown ) and I am all about Showing Great customer Service and also Expect to receive it back when i go out with my family to Sit down and Spend my hard earned money. When we arrived to the lobby/Front door we were 2nd party waiting for a table- I kindly asked if there's a table for two, The hostess said " No, Wait", Also said it would be a 15 min. wait ( which is fine, ive waited longer) However to my left there was a whole Big empty row of Available seats at the Bar Area. I asked may we please sit over there , the hostess did not even look at the direction of the bar area, and said " No, you wait 15 mins ok. Go sit down now". I was not expecting that at all from this crowed place. We did not wait 15 mins and was kindly escorted to out seat. THIS IS THE REASON THEY ARE GETTING A THREE STAR RATING - when we sat down we were very tight in a limited space area, the waitress ( which i regret not getting her name ) saw how uncomfortable my Wife was and fixed our seating arrangements so we may be very comfortable. I explained how rude and unprofessional the hostess was, she immediately apologize and immediately attended us until the end with GREAT GREAT GREAT Customer Service! My Mood changed from Not feeling this place to Let me see the whole menu! , my wife went for the All you can eat Sushi Menu , I however tried the " Seafood Birds nest". My wife's sushi came with Crab Rangoon and Noodles. The food was Delicious, The Seafood birthstone is a Must if you enjoy a lot of Sauteed veggies in sauce. The waitress Was very polite, quick and guided us through the Menu. We did not have room for dessert but if it wasn't for the waitress turning my whole experience around, we would of have left Right away. final result, F YOU HOSTESS! I liked the food but...

I love Lilly’s their sushi is beyond amazing and for $20 it’s a steal of a deal. I have always had an AMAZING experience there and I tell all my sushi loving friends about it. It’s nice inside and it’s delcious and well priced food and usually very polite staff, (what’s not to like??) I put “usually” because all the other times I’ve been to Lilly’s I have had good service until I went there the other night with my two friends, the food was amazing (as usual) and it was a fun time until we got the check. The bill came to $63 and some change, I gave the money for the bill and waited for my change and to give a tip (even though the waitress herself wasn’t very good, she wasn’t even the one who came and filled up out waters not even once but I understand to an extent I was a waitress sometimes you’re busy so I could excuse that) the waitress takes the bill I gave $65 the waitress opened the bill book in front of us and saw that it was $65 and immediately gave me a very dirty look. She turns around and hands me incorrect change and then says to me “so tip isn’t included and I’ll wait right here for my tip” her comment dumbfounded me and I didnt realize what she had said right away and my friend had to tell me and the waitress said it again “I’ll just wait here for my tip” and stood right in front of our table staring at us and making me and my friends very uncomfortable. I could forgive her not coming around much (or really at all, again I was a waitress and I understand that sometimes you’re busy) but for her to say “tip isn’t included so I’ll just wait here” is so outrageous if I EVER said to a customer “I’ll wait for my tip here” or anything like that I would have been fired on the spot. Now mind you I was going to give her a tip even though her service wasn’t all that good but for her to have the audacity to say that she didn’t get anything, I found her comment to be very rude and it made everyone at the table very uncomfortable. I still love Lilly’s and will come back in the future I just hope to never expirence that...
