I hate bashing a small business but the food was nothing to rave about. The place itself was old. I agree with another reviewer-the wait staff was not friendly. It seems more like a place where regulars are more welcomed than new customers. The price was for the food in the pics are just not worth it. We will not be making a return visit to this establishment.

We just stopped here for breakfast while in Allentown. Well worth the drive past a few other diners. This quaint stop is cozy with a friendly staff. We had excellent service sitting at the bar. I had the Taylor Pork Roll sandwich with a hash brown patty. My wife had a dippy egg with their addictive home fries. Nice place.

What a cute little diner! We sat at the bar and I enjoyed a pork roll, egg and cheese. It was a heavy and hearty breakfast sandwich. Definitely worth it.

I like breakfast! I love quality, hot coffee better!

With that being said, we had errands to run in this neck of the wooods and always eager to try new restaurants. It's a small building on main route 309 N and has been there half a century as indicated by the waitress when I asked if I could trade my cup of coffee in for a small grapefruit juice. She took it personal, mentioning in 57 years, no one has ever had issue with it. I perk organic coffee at home and their coffee tasted like soapy water, sort of conditioned water from salt tablets. The water tasted same way. She obliged with a replacement.

The lone server, Lisa, was hustling through the small establishment this weekday in September.

I always try a pancake plus an egg dish. And hubs always gravitates to the cheesesteak with a side.

The fried potatoes quarters were previously frozen and the eggs were fluffy and good. pork roll was standard. The lone pancake was surprised fluffy

The cheesesteak was flavorful and the highlight were the side of homemade pierogi from a local source.

Refer to my photos.

The bill was $32. Tip $20.

And this is why I have trust issues. I trusted previous reviews and drove out of my way to have breakfast at this place. The water taste awful and the coffee tastes like the water. So I had nothing to drink with my meal because I'm pretty sure the oj is premixed with the same water. They use a butter blend on their toast so if you're picky about real butter avoid this place. The waitresses aren't even friendly but worst of all is the fact that they don't have a restroom. They have a hot, dirty, full of poop porta potty behind the restaurant located next to the restaurant garage container and when you're done using the gross porta potty you have to come back inside the restaurant to wash your hands in a sink located next to the counter. And if you don't believe me feel free to check for yourself. I feel like lately most places pay others for good reviews. I will never return or...

This past Saturday was the second time I went there. First time breakfast was great with everything, especially the potatoes cooked crispy. This time my sausage came out raw, potatoes were undercooked, the alleged toast was just bread warmed up with way too much butter and the plate of food seemed a little too greasy. I used many napkins to pat everything. I really give the waitresses five stars. They were so apologetic about the situation and it wasn't their fault and even took the delicious coffee off the tab. My advise to the cooks is slow down and do what you're suppose to do properly even if extremely busy. That's professionalism! I do like the place, the old time feeling and the friendly waitresses but my next breakfast I'll specify a little how I want my food cooked. Sorry I couldn't give more stars but this is just...
