The Red Cabin — Restaurant in South Windsor

Food was great. Service was wonderful. Our coffee cups were never empty. Our server was very attentive and friendly. The gentleman that brought out our breakfast was super kind and made us smile.

We had a great breakfast here. Their home fries aren't deep fried but if you ask for extra crispy they put a nice sear that creates a crust with extra flavor on the potatoes. Pancakes were fluffy and cooked to perfection. French toast was delicious. Eggs cooked exactly how we ordered. Coffee was nice and strong and kept flowing.

Atmosphere is nice. Very cozy and if there's not a large group it's on the quieter side. There was a big party of women that looked like a group of friends that got together for breakfast. They were so cute and fun to watch as they socialized. They brought a whole vibe to the restaurant. When they left it got really quiet with several tables of two eating.

Decor is cozy, farmish with cute signs. I like it. There's booths, tables and barstool counters. I would go again and recommend this...

I've eaten at the Red Cabin for some years now and always had a great experience until today . Granted Sunday mornings are a busy time but it was not more than usual. As soon as we walked in we were greeted with an ugly attitude by a girl with dirty blonde hair. When we asked to sit outside she was very annoyed. She sat us outside, brought us drinks and never came back. We proceeded to wait as the other two waitresses took orders and served food from the 4 other tables outside. Almost a half hour went by and after watching other patrons show up after us and having their orders taken and food even delivered, we decided it's time to find another place to eat . The Red cabin used to be our first choice for eating out on the weekends but after today we will find another local establishment to support...

If I could give no stars I would. We attempted to visit this place on Father’s Day! It wasn’t crowded “go figure” as their service is nasty. We waited to be seated and no one helped us. Then more people came in and quickly the counter person said to them, “let me get that table for you right away.” Now, I don’t want this to come off wrong but honestly, we stood there for 10min and he never acknowledged us. We let him know we are looking to get seated and his response was.. oh, I thought you were just leaving or waiting for take out? Just sit over there, unapologetically. We sat down but honestly, I don’t have to give a place my MONEY! My husband and I left. Good thing. We had a great time at Oscars American 🇺🇸 grill across the street.
