An Exceptional Experience for a Milestone
Celebration Brunch House 1850 provided a truly unforgettable experience for my mom's 85th birthday celebration. From the moment we arrived to the final heartfelt farewells, everything about the event was seamless, beautiful, and memorable. Hosting 21 guests can be a challenge, but the team at Brunch House made it seem effortless, leaving us free to enjoy every moment of this special occasion. The private room was a highlight in itself-bright, airy, and tastefully decorated, with an atrium that let in a warm flood of natural light. Its location right next to the bar was ideal, giving guests easy access to beverages while still keeping the gathering intimate. Every detail was thoughtfully executed, from the elegant table settings to the spacious layout, ensuring everyone was comfortable. The food? Simply outstanding. Our menu featured a delicious spread that had something for everyone. We started with fresh dinner rolls and a Caesar salad, which was crisp and flavorful. The entrees were a feast in every sense: savory sausage and peppers, perfectly cooked penne ala vodka, tender and flavorful chicken Francese in a delicate lemon butter white wine sauce, roasted potatoes, and a medley of roasted vegetables that brought vibrant color and flavor to the table. Each dish was prepared with care, served hot, and tasted amazing. The portions were enormous!
A particularly special touch was how they accommodated my mom's dietary needs with a separate meal. She was treated to a beautifully presented steak cooked to perfection, accompanied by roasted potatoes, fresh vegetables, and a salad that she couldn't stop raving about. This level of attentiveness made her feel truly celebrated, and as a family, we couldn't have asked for more.
Beverages, including coffee, tea, and soda, were generously provided, and the event concluded with a stunning cake that was both beautiful and delicious — a perfect sweet ending to a wonderful celebration.
The service was exceptional throughout the event. Every staff member was friendly, attentive, and professional, ensuring that no glass was empty and every guest was well taken care of. Their warm, personable approach added to the overall atmosphere and made the day feel extra special. And perhaps the best part? It was all incredibly reasonably priced, especially given the high quality of the food, service, and ambiance. Brunch House 1850 exceeded all expectations, making what could have been a stressful event feel effortless and joyful.
If you're looking for a venue to host a special occasion, I can't recommend Brunch House 1850 enough. They go above and beyond to deliver a flawless experience, and we are so grateful for the memories they helped create.
Thank you to the entire team for making my mom's 85th birthday...
Read moreWe had the absolute pleasure of hosting our wedding reception at Brunch House 1850 and we couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. From the initial planning stages to the day of the event, the staff went above and beyond to make sure every detail was perfect. The owner, Melissa Dayton, communicated with me every step of the way and understood my vision as I was planning the event, which I truly appreciated.
We reserved the bar and sunroom to accommodate 49 guests. We also used the adjacent outside area off the sunroom. The ambiance was elegant and exactly what we had envisioned for our special day. The food was incredible—our guests are still talking about how delicious everything was! My step father who is a tough cookie also continues to rave about the coffee as well! Hey, if he’s happy, we’re happy! But truly, the food was fantastic. Our menu included a charcuterie board, garden salad, lemon chicken, steak, sausage and peers, penne à la vodka, roasted potatoes and veggies.
Owner, Melissa, and her amazing staff were attentive and professional throughout the event. They are amazing!!
A huge thank you to Melissa and ALL of the Brunch House staff - the bartenders- the chef - the waitstaff - everyone who made our once in a lifetime event come to fruition. We feel so lucky to have celebrated such an important day in a place that cared so deeply about making it perfect.
I highly recommend Brunch House 1850 for any special occasion as well as a fantastic place to stop by for brunch or lunch. All of the food is delicious, fresh, and made with care. Regular day menu items we especially love for lunch are their salads (big enough to share!) and the Brunch House burger. You just can’t go wrong! They hold a weekly music bingo on Friday’s too, which is a blast with happy hour specials!

Read moreMy husband and I went for brunch last Sunday. We were seated quickly but waited a long time for our food to come out. The waitress kept checking on the food and said she didn't know what was taking so long. The food was very good in the end and the waitress was also very good. I went back there on Thursday at 12:30pm with my daughter and when we didn't have a reservation, we were told by the owner that we had to wait a half hour. All of the indoor tables were empty. The owner then said that "they have a lot of tables but a lot of people were out on the patio and the cooks were overwhelmed". She was a bit rude, which we felt was not appropriate in that setting. We waited. More people came in without reservations and were told the same thing. Two left. We noticed the waitresses going to the owner, asking what was going on. We were finally seated by the owner. The waitress happened to be the same one I had last Sunday and she was great. We did wait quite awhile for our food. Before we left I asked about a reservation for Friday as we wanted to take our neighbors there. I was told that they were closed for a private event. I then asked about Sunday and was told they were open. When I got home I checked with our neighbors and called to make a reservation for Sunday at 11am. I was told that they were "closed for the golf tournament" until 1pm. We ended up going elsewhere. While the food is very good and the wait staff are, as well, there seems to be inadequate kitchen staff and lack of communication. The owner should also be more polite when acting as the front line person for customers. With some changes, I think they can make it but honestly, the jury is...
