Extremely disappointed. Called in my order. Ordered a ton of chicken, which was good, but also ordered large fries. The man on the phone informed me there were only a few fries. I asked if he can make fresh fries & specified I did not want the old fries. When I arrived i noticed the box of fries on the counter & I waited for my chicken. I also ordered dessert to go, 3 slices of “strawberry” cake. When I get home my chicken order was correct but my box of fries was less than halfway full. The fries were clearly the old fries that had been sitting there since God knows when. The gentleman did not bother to tell me that either they ran out of fries or that he wasn’t going to make anymore, but decided to give me the little bit of old fries and of course still charged me for the large fries. How am I supposed to feed my family of 6 with a box of fries that is less than half full & are old and hard. Not even a dog would eat these fries. I call to complain to the manager and her response was “it must have been a mistake... I’ll let the guy know you were unhappy” Really?!? How was that a mistake?!? It was terrible service. Oh and the cake was disgusting. Dry yellow cake with weird strawberry wanna be...
Read moreLast 3 trips led me here ; Generally I try to take into consideration people can have a bad day , but it seems as this place has let itself go. I was overcharged 9 dollars after getting an unacceptable attitude from the girl at the counter . It seems like more and more the quality of staff has declined. That quality is now leeching into the food production. I don't enjoy all the attitude from the employees. It's like they all hate it there so much they exude that vibe to the customer. I used to really enjoy the fried chicken there. Was my main reason for going . That's seemingly always dryer than ever now. All the accoutrement is seemingly prepped worse. To summarize: It's beyond repair. It thrives on passers by off the highway with super over inflated pricing.
The good version of this establishment is far lost I feel.
There's far better food , for far more reasonable pricing. If the excuse for the food is to pay the staff , Maybe hire...
Read moreI’ve been going to Patties in Newtown for a while now. Their food is always delicious and fulfilling. Today I decided I didn’t want to drive the extra 15 minutes to Newtown and went to Patties in Southbury. Very very disappointed in the difference of both locations. Not only did we find a bread tie in one of the meals, not in the meal but in the meal wrapping, but the food was subpar to say. I ordered 6 meals, with 3 small fries, order price was about $70. The Reuben Pastrami was so dry I couldn’t even finish it. The fire burger was a disappointment, and the two beef gyros was all bread and hardly any meat. The biggest disappointment was the fries. Hard, tasteless and cold, like they weren’t cooked all the way. The only good part of the meal was the Joes Tea. Maybe it’s the lack of motivation in this staff compared to Newtown but I’ll always drive to Newtown...
