We LOVE this place. Not only is it not all the way in Brookfield or Newtown, it is (usually) better than all those place. But Friday we placed our standard order. Whoever was in the kitchen watered down all dishes. You could literally stick naan in a sauce and it came up wet and slightly discolored, not covered in sauce. The chicken was still cooked perfectly (unlike so many other places). But for some reason, water was added to all sauces and it was very obvious. There was no creaminess whatsoever. It all tasted like water with a little spice. Honestly another local restauant has done the same with its teryaki dinners. If prices are going up, raise prices, don't compromise on quality. Everyone has a bad day. Maybe they weren't ready for the dinner crowd. We'll give them another chance, since they have been far and above the BEST we've had on the East Coast. INdian food makes me happy. And this...
Read moreI had to stop in as soon as I heard they were accepting orders. Ordered online, which was simple and convenient. I have tried every Indian dish, from multiple restaurants and homemade, so I am a snob. I was excited to see chicken korma on the menu! It was darker than I’m used to and more spicy than I’ve had in the past but it didn’t bother me. Excellent flavor, thicker sauce which I like. Great portion of rice and naan bread was very tasty and traditional. I was offered a sample of rice kheer which was absolutely delicious and I will be adding to my next order. Will be ordering the chicken tikka masala next, hope it’s the true traditional mild creamy sauce. Looking forward to RaaSa becoming a...
Read moreFirst of all, it is a take out place, at least for now. They do not offer sit down options. I ordered a tandoori chicken for $20. The food was very good, the size was average. I ordered by calling in and paid cash. I was charged over $22.75 without explanation. When I asked I was told that they included a convenience fee. For what? Using their service, picking up food and paying in cash? Again, the quality of food was good. But it is a takeout place. And they charge sit-down prices and a convenience fee. I don’t feel I got my...
