Went there with a friend today and sat inside to eat. We were getting our straws when I realize he unknowingly threw one of his straw papers in a hole in the counter that was not a trashcan. (it was instead where the ALREADY BROKEN straw dispenser goes) I then brought this to his attention and he went to open the cabinet to get his trash he threw in there out and throw it away. In doing so he noticed there was a large wad of duct tape attached to the magnet on other side of the door holding it shut so he decides not to open it any more as he realized it was already broken. However the duct tape covered magnet that held the door shut had apparently fallen out and was on the ground and heres where it gets good. The General Manager of the store comes in and is apparently complaining about someone breaking her cabinet door.( we didn’t hear this at the time because we were just enjoying our food not eavesdropping on her conversations) She later comes out and asks if we would like to explain why we broke her cabinet, acting like we are some delinquents. We then try to explain that we didn’t break it and tell her what happened and she cuts us off saying she has it on video that it was us who broke it. Remember this cabinet was already being held together by duct tape and I can tell you right now we didn’t have any duct tape in our pockets. After we explain what happened for the third time she finally walks away and sarcastically says “thank you” after she rewatches the video and realizes she’s in the wrong . Really don’t appreciate being yelled at and accused of breaking something while I’m just trying to eat my food with my friend. Especially since he was trying to get his trash out of the ALREADY BROKEN counter that looked like a trash can. You would think a general manager would care a little about respecting their customers but based of the 9 other reviews about her I guess not.(also just received a voicemail about vandalized property)
Edit: director of operation just called back and claimed we vandalized equipment because we “ripped the door off the hinges and it’s laying on the ground, we have it on video” but when we asked if we could see that video he said we could not. So we asked that he take it to the PD and let them sort it out because we knew that didn’t happen, he wouldn’t take it to the police department because there “wasn’t a crime committed”. Last time I checked vandalism WAS ,in fact, a crime. He then told us this conversation isn’t going anywhere and hung up. The door never was even opened all the way much less ripped off the hinges. He saw there was duct tape and shut it back. Both pictures are taken not long after...
Read moreThursday, Dec 19, 2024 Our experience tonight at the Taco Bell in Southside, Alabama, definitely ranks in our top 10 worst fast-food experiences EVER!
We placed two separate online orders about 8:50pm and paid online with our credit cards.
We live relatively close so we arrived shortly after 9:00pm and our orders were not yet ready.
At 9:15pm our orders were still not ready.
AT 9:30pm THEY WERE STILL NOT READY.
When we finally received our food, both orders were combined in one large sack. However, the items we ordered were not what was in the sack and when we brought that to the attention of the person at the window, they said to park and come into the store to make corrections.
To add insult to injury, the manager implied that we lied about not receiving certain items. The sack of food we received was sitting on the counter but the manager chose not to check the sack for verification.
When we finally arrived home at 9:57pm, we discovered that one of the items we purchased was still not received.
Of course, by 9:57pm the items had been sitting in the sack for almost an hour so all of the food items were cold and soggy.
This level of inefficiency, even in the fast food environment, is absolutely pathetic. Poor business operation reflects poor management and how the manager of this store is allowed to retain their job...
Read moreHonestly, forcing people to pull up and park to wait 20 minutes to get their taco order. If you have to cook chicken, maybe it would be a huge wait time. The order was messed up from the beginning, and then at the drive-thru window, I thought we got it straightened out. It wasn't. I still had to go inside to get the order straight. I shouldn't have ever had to get out and get the items missing. Every time we use this Taco Bell KFC in Southside, we have to go back to get the rest of our order. My advice is simple. Slow down, get the order correct, place items ordered into bag, then hand order out the drive thru window simple. Yes, you are short staffed. However, you are creating extra work & losing time by leaving items out of the bag and having to deal with the same customer twice. I counted 4 plus cars that paid & was told to pull up while I waited. This practice is horrible for customer relations. This has been going on for well over a year. After today, I can't do business...
