Come to find out 2 other patrons with service dogs were also told to leave while seated outside as we were. We went here today with my wife and a service dog with us. We were greeted by other patrons on the outside deck by what a cute dog etc. Even though that was nice to hear, after we were seated, and the waitress brought out our waters and such, a very rude and uninformed woman came out saying, and I quote "we do not accept any animals here, and if it a service dog they have to wear a vest and you have to show us your paperwork " end quote. Never have I heard a most ignorant person when it comes to American with dDsabilities Act. In short, they may ask if it is a service dog, they may ask what service the dog provides for you period. May not ask for a demonstration of the dogs training, the dogs training paperwork, a written documentation from the Doctor stating your disability. Violates Hippa laws in addition to all that is morally unjust to do so. The establishment broke the law via the ADA federal for all public .places. if a person were blind, are they to ask for paperwork fromthe blind person to prove that they are blind? This place and that manager should be ashamed for breaking the law and being so rude and uncaring towards people with disabilities. What kind of people run this place if they can careless about those who are physically inept in ways that those more fortunate are in their physical capabilities. This place and will be reported to the ADA. They are a disgrace. Meaning the ignorant manager who can careless about persons...

My daughter had made a reservation for a large group people. We got there and the hostess told us that we did not have a reservation. They want us to prove that she had made a reservation to sit outside on the deck. Since I didn’t make the phone call I could not prove it … ( my daughter was running a little late) at this point I was very upset and angry. It was a special moment for our family. Soon to find out, my daughter’s name was crossed off the list . They claim they called and she didn’t pick up which was a lie and I called them out on that. We showed them proof No one called to confirm.. After a while of going back-and-forth for over 30 to 40 minutes later..Greg the manager told me the only place we can it is inside.. not on the deck.. even though my reservation was at the deck I didn’t want to spoil this important event for my family so I accepted. But he did notice that I was very upset. They sat us down after another 10 more minutes because they forgot to show us to the table. The area that they sat us in there was lots of flies . It was disgusting. But we had this amazing waitress name Mercedes… she was amazing!!! the manager Greg never came to our table to apologize for the inconvenience their screw up, never offered a complementary appetizer or dessert, which I wasn’t looking for that I was looking for what we requested to be seated (on the deck). but we got with the nasty flies. I was so upset!!! This was my first time and also my last time going to blackboard restaurant in Southwick !!!! ...

So this spot has been so many things since we moved to the area 3 years ago. Some good, some terrible.

We decided to try it out with our kiddo today for early dinner (4:45 ish). No wait. Sadly due to weather we sat inside, but it was still nice and clean inside.

My husband is extremely picky about wings. Often they aren’t crispy enough for his taste. The wings were huge and didn’t look saucy, so I was worried. They were crispy, saucy, and delicious! We tried regular hot. I got the turkey club and it was great but wound up bringing most of it home, as the wings, French fries, and southwest eggrolls were filling and delicious.

The tenders and French fry appetizer is MASSIVE. We ordered it for our daughter and it’s definitely kiddo approved! Same as the rainbow cake.

Our server Ray was so attentive and kind. He also gave me the heads up about the sweet potato fries so now I know what’s on my radar for next time lol. I just didn’t have anymore room at that point. We specifically went during a not busy time to be super judgmental on food and service.
