My friend introduced me to this place about a year ago. And I have been sooo many times since. I don’t go out to eat much or spend much on takeout - except for here. I’ve probably ordered takeout a total of 12 times in the last year, and 10 of those times was from Pizza One. It has become my tried and true restaurant, my go-to. Have tried other new places in the last year and normally end up crossing them off my list, and leaving disappointed, wishing I had just gone to Pizza One instead for the prices, the portions and the quality. I normally struggle deciding between trying somewhere new to find other places I really like, and just sticking with Pizza One because I know it’ll be good food. I’ve gotten many dishes here and they’re all consistently good. From their dynamite shrimp (what originally kept me coming back for more and more), to their penne vodka (the best i’ve ever tried, their vodka sauce is amazing, i always get extra to take home when I go). For the superbowl last year, I ordered a tray of the penne vodka because i wanted all my guests to try this, and they alllll raved about it and kept coming back for 2nds and 3rds, I’m sad to say I had none left over to enjoy the next day.
Their chicken vodka sub, is very large and filling, all their food is well portioned. Their pizza is my favorite in the area too, and they have many specialty options which i’ve tried. The penne vodka pizza is very uniquely good, but I recommend getting it with extra sauce. I’m not normally a salad person or a caesar lover, but their caesar dressing is homemade and I believe they’ve said it was passed down generations - its a winner for sure, this is the only place I’ll get caesar dressing. And specifically the chicken caesar wrap is a great on the go lunch. Oh and also the steak rolls with the fancy sauce, really delicious.
I also really like their rewards program also: Spend $200 get $10 off coupon. And you can stack those coupons which is nice, since not everywhere lets you do stuff like that. Food is also very reasonably priced in my opinion. I have 7 people in my family and took them here to eat once and the bill was $120 and we had plenty of food to take home. For going out to eat with that many people, I feel like thats a great price. They used to have a special Pizza of The Month too, I’m not sure if they still do that or not. But I got a really good one once, it was hot honey pepperoni detroit style. Thats the one thing i wish they offered was more detroit style pizza. But they already have plenty to pick from, so its normally hard to decide what to order already. I recommend this place to...
Read moreI am writing to report a negative experience I had at Pizza One Sparta restaurant on 10/12/2025 at approximately 1:30pm. Regarding a Manager at the establishment. An order of a Large Pie, Chicken parm, spaghetti, penne w/chicken in vodka sauce, etc. was placed for about $70. An employee, who wasn't even the one helping me, approached me in a condescending manner and had the audacity to tell me that I placed too many paper plates in a large box i was given. He actually took the plates from my box and tried to give me back 4 paper plates instead. I told him it was fine, and that I won't be taking any paper plates now that I've been embarrassed and treated like a little kid. He repeated " it was too many paper plates", visibly frustrated and rude. I then asked for the Manager and he notified me he was the manager. I then asked if he felt that it was really necessary to address a customer and take paper plates back that cost about $1 or $2 for a box on Amazon. He replied "yes", and then apologized, he seemed to regret his decision. My family and I are regular customers and will not be attending this place anymore. I wish I would have asked for his name or better yet denied the food and asked for a refund. He looks like the actor, Luis Guzmán that plays Gomez in the show Wednesday. Please be weary on who you guys promote as managers. They can really hurt your business! If I can give 0 stars, I would. I am torn because, I really like this place and always experienced a friendly staff and atmosphere until this incident. I'm left feeling embarrassed, uncomfortable, and very disappointed over paper plates! I am addressing this to whom it may concern, so that you are aware of the situation and can take any necessary steps to address it. I have enjoyed your food and service in the past and hope this is an isolated incident. Thank you for your time and attention to this...
Read moreThis was my second time visiting Pizza One. I didn't find it flavorful the first time I ordered some pies. The staff were all very friendly, the restaurant was clean, and the place was busy. I stopped by on Saturday afternoon after shopping at ShopRite around three, and it was quiet. I was in the mood for a chicken sandwich, and this place didn't disappoint. The staff are all still great. So..... let me tell you about how hard it is to find a freakin' decent chicken sandwich in North NJ. A chicken sandwich with real chicken that tastes fresh. It's cooked and not microwaved or as hard as a hockey puck.
While primarily known for their pizzas, this pizzeria has truly mastered the art of crafting delectable chicken sandwiches. The menu offers a diverse range of options, catering to various tastes and preferences. From classic favorites to innovative creations, there's something to please everyone. Try the chicken sandwich with vodka sauce on garlic bread. (THANK ME LATER). I love the fact they let you customize your sandwiches.
The star of the show, undoubtedly, is the chicken. Each sandwich is generously filled with succulent, tender chicken that is seasoned to perfection. Whether you prefer grilled, crispy, or breaded chicken, the pizzeria has you covered. The sandwiches are served on fresh, toasted buns and can be customized with an array of toppings and sauces. The ingredients were fresh, and the flavors harmonize wonderfully. The portion sizes here are generous, ensuring you leave with a satisfied appetite. The prices are reasonable, considering the quality and quantity of the ingredients. You get excellent value for your money, which is a definite plus. Hands down better than than any other chicken sandwiches in the area.
While picking up the food, I eyes the pizza case, and my mouth was watering. I might have to go back to try...
