After a terrible evening I decided to treat myself to a Sunday so I went through the drive-through. I had to wait in line to order & placed my order at 10:39 (I know bc I got a text at the same time), had to wait until 10:46 to pay because of a delay in the order belonging to the car ahead of me. Someone in line even honked. Then the order came out: one milkshake. That should have been my cue to just leave, but I was craving that Sunday. I got to the window & said "for the record, I was not the one honking," paid & waited again for way too long. Finally the young cashier comes to tell me "It went into heat mode. That's NOT on you, that's on me, because I let them stay here way too long. Is there anything else I can get you? Anything at all?" First of all, how could that have possibly been "on me"? Second, who was she talking about? And third, notice there was not an apology in that. If you're annoyed by the length of this review you're starting to get an idea of how I was feeling. Up to then I had been very nice but at that point I was done & asked for my money back. Instead of getting money out of the register she disappeared into the back. About 3 minutes later an older woman comes to the window and asks me what I want. I said "my money back," she says "Oh. Can you tell me what happened?" !!!!!!! I told her about the long waits (it's the drive-through!) and the fact that I wouldn't even be getting what I wanted. So she says ok and closes the window. Pushes buttons on the register for about 2 minutes (!!!!!!) & opens the window to ask "did you pay cash?" I say no. Window closes, she pushes buttons for another full minute then asks "do you have the card you used to pay?" By this point it has been 25 minutes since I arrived and TWENTY ONE since I placed my order... for one Sunday. But for the manager that was not enough reason to just get $1.90 out of the register & let me be on my way. I didn't want to spend another second there, and didn't want to risk any more delays because she had to refund a gift card instead of a normal debit card, so I just said "never mind" and left. I work in northern Kentucky often so I go by this McDonald's several times a week, but I will not be stopping...
Read moreI loved the vibe at this McDonald's. When you walk in, you see Halloween decorations on the counter and a mini Xmas tree. It was a treat to see in the morning. It was pretty busy but they were quick to get your orders out. The manager did a good job leading her crew to stay on top of the orders and at the same time telling them they're doing good in a positive sort of way. Not kiss a$$ like. My order was fresh and it hit the spot on a cold Tuesday morning. It was like low 40s high 30s. I ordered: Biscuits and gravy with a side of sausage - That hit the spot with a hashbrown. I'm not going to lie I took a nap shortly after. Kudos to those that go to work after that.
Sausage McMuffin meal - always my husband's go to
Not sure if it's just me but the hashbrowns taste different in the East coast. It's like I can really taste the potatoes or something. Highly recommend this spot, the team was way better here than any other McD's...
Read moreWe are a local so frequent this McDonald's often. My husband said this is the last time. At the drive thru they gave him someone else's order. She at first said he was wrong but then realized it belonged to the guy they told to pull up and had been waiting awhile. My husband had to pull up and wait for 11 minutes and it wasn't busy at the time. He brought the order home and I was supposed to have a 1/2 cut tea. They gave him unsweetened even after he asked at the window if it was and she verified it. What little ice they put in our drinks was completely melted before he got home 10 minutes). My tea looked like muddy water it was so cloudy. The food was good after we warmed it but my burger and cheese for the quarter pounder were only halfway on the bun and mayo was all over it (I ordered with light on mayo and no salt) and I definitely tasted the salt. Management needs to better train...
