Great little place to eat if you’re in the area. Had the chicken plate, chicken was good definitely needed a little more rub and smoke but I did like it wasn’t soggy and fatty. The skin wasn’t rubbery like most other places. Slaw was awesome, I really enjoyed it. The stew on the other hand wasn’t my favorite, not very hearty and was runny. I was in there amongst the other dawg fans and people down for deer season and enjoyed the wait staff and their friendliness. Will go back. Just not...

Traveled through Sparta with a friend and decided to get some good Georgia bbq. Google stated this place had a 4.5 rating. Staff was friendly and attentive but the food was subpar at best. They told me the Brunswick stew was better than hash, they lied. The vinegar base bbq was just that, vinegar. No smoke flavor or seasoning in the pulled pork. I wish I would've known better, but the high Google rating deceived me. The sweet tea was ok. I was exorbitantly disappointed...

Great Bbq!!!!! Great Brunswick Stew!!!!! Sandwiches are huge!! Like all great BBQ, sauce is vinegar/tomato based. Very good. If you can catch them, they have real meat skins available saturday mornings. They tend to go quick though. BBQ chicken is great too. Ive tried BBQ all over the state and even "award winning" well known brands.. Straws beats them hands down. What more do you need...
