Wanted to be impressed walking in because of the bright energy, but the food was all subpar. We came in at 8pm, which probably was the mistake. All the meat was dry and came to the table cold. Beef brisket was hard to chew and dry. Needed sauce to go down the hatchet and even then didn’t love it. Ribs were also dry. Hard to get everything off the bone and had lots of fat and lots of bones. Pulled pork was okay. Only ate it with sauce which made it good. Sauce on top was okay. Turkey was good, still had some moisture. Ham was the best of the meats surprisingly. It was sweet and had a nice chewy texture. Easy to cut. The fries were seasoned well and had some crunch. The chili was over seasoned and runny. The mashed potatoes were pretty good. Slightly dry mixture that lacked the consistency real potatoes do, seemed to come from a mix. The mac and cheese had a smoky undertone which was nice. Very cheesy but also reminded me of Kraft’s. Cheesy rolls had really hard cheese in the center. Crumbled apart and cold. Bread rolls tasted like the store bought Hawaiian Rolls, not hand made. Cookies and Cream Cheesecake just tasted like a walmart cupcake to me. Hard to cut and fake tasting frosting for $7.50 is steep. Ended up taking leftover meat home just to feed it to the dog. Service was nice when they were available. Wouldn’t come again for overpriced processed food.

Music is hoppin' and appropriate to the vibe. The staff are very kind and helpful, a good fat meal for $20 and we were STUFFED. The brisket was slightly dry, did not bounce, but made up for it with flavour and tenderness. The ribs were not quite fall off the bone and had a little chew, but they were full of flavour and could be eaten with or without sauce. Had a hard time picking my sides because they all sounded too good, I went with loaded mashers + gravy and jalapeño mac salad. The tates were all there with the flavour and the texture, leaving bits of unmashed reds is an excellent choice, perfectly cooked. Though, I did not terribly care for the gravy, it was still smooth and had good flavour. The mac salad was devine, might have been my favourite thing on my tray, I love a good kick and the creamy sauce was lovely, with a little added crunch from the cabbage, that's a good mac salad. I've been to a lot of BBQ all over the states, outlaw is tasty and authentic, I would go again.

My journey to have BBQ in every state led me to this amazing place. By far the best bbq I have had. Everything was cooked to perfection. The house sauces were amazing. The owners show some they care what is being served - we showed up between lunch and dinner and had the best there was for the day. We ordered as much as two people should be allowed to. Thick sliced brisket and ham both tender. The bbq beans, bacon potato salad and jalapeño pasta were incredible. The menu is large for a bbq place - there was a starter called cheeseburger egg-rolls- Yes Please! Amazing. In the back of the seating area was a pie station. Hours later we were able to take on the strawberry lemonade cheesecake pie- unbelievable- so rich and all the flavors were there. The themed restaurant is top notch with large bar and seating area. This is a standard that a restaurant should be trying to achieve. Service was top notch. Spokane and the Outlaw is on my BBQ map now and it should be on yours as well.

This place is the best BBQ in Spokane but it's far from being on par with the style of BBQ it claims to serve. Ribs were okay, really quite edible. I would have liked to see more rub on them but the smoke flavor was good and the doneness was perfect. The brisket was such a disappointment. Not because it was bad but because it was so close to being great. First issue was there's no "moist" slices of the brisket which makes me think they're only smoking flats instead of full packer briskets. This might be because they can't get the full briskets up in Washington. I don't know. But at any rate, no point cuts available. The second issue is that it's clear that they are smoking the brisket on some sort of tray because there's no smoke ring on the bottom of the meat. This was sad to see because that prevents half of the potential smoke flavor from getting into the meat. Which brings me to the 3rd thing, they're using mesquite instead of post oak, a more traditional Texas flavor for brisket. The smoke flavor was lacking acrossthe board, which was very disappointing because the brisket was cooked very well. It had nicely rendered fat and passed the pull test. AND if they were serving the point (moist) muscles then that fat would have been deliciously rendered into the whole brisket. So they're really just so close to making great brisket with a few minor changes. Aside from that, they're cooking on a homemade pellet smoker. Which is an awesome accomplishment to build but I just can't seem to understand the logic behind the decision to go out of your way to build a pellet smoker. If you have the ability to build a complex pellet smoker, why wouldn't you just build a stick burner and smoke with actual wood? It's way better and you'll get better bark on your briskets. Just a few things to think about. But they had Shiner bock on tap! That was awesome to see. Thanks for the...

Me and my boyfriend Went to the valley location yesterday and while the food was good and so was the music we were not impressed with our server at all. I can’t remember his name however he has tattoos all the way down his arms and he wears more rings than Johnny Depp. The issue that I have was that he was up selling us on freaking everything and being in my opinion rude about it he talk down to me several times especially when I asked him what desserts he had. He hardly gave us any time to look at the menu before he rushed over and was being rude about us ordering then once we ordered we hardly saw him and had to stop the food runner to get things that we needed I’ve been a bartender for a very long time so of course I’m gonna be a little bit more judge mental but the way that he talk to us and the way that he up sold every little thing and when we didn’t do the upsell he was rude that’s enough to make me not want to come back to that location I think we will stick to the north side . Also one of our friends came with us and my boyfriend was paying for his meal but he literally didn’t feel comfortable because the server was up selling so much that he went over there while he was ordering just to make sure the server wasn’t up selling everything and making the bills super high as a server I understand this is a common practice but he went overboard and it’s enough for us never to come back especially with two locations so I can get the same food at a different location and Not have to deal with a...

Let me start by saying I typically don't like BBQ places in the PNW. Most of them the meat is dry and massively overpriced. But we saw this was one of the highest rated BBQ places in Spokane and the pasta salad on their menu sounded great so I figured why not. The reviews were not wrong, this restaurant was amazing! To start, when you walk in you are met by the most gorgeous bakery cases I have ever seen. I ordered the brisket with macaroni and the aforementioned pasta salad. My husband also ordered the brisket and the ribs, with the macaroni and fried okra. We both upgraded from the bread to the cheesy cornbread. The food came out quickly. The brisket was so tender that it was hard to keep it on the fork! The pasta salad, which is a cilantro corn jalapeno pasta salad was amazing. My husband liked the ribs, I found the sauce a little sweet but the ribs were so tender they fell off the bone. As far as sauce goes, we tried all of them and while they were all delicious, The MOP sauce was by far the best one. On first taste it is sweet but then the spice creeps in and it is perfect. The cheesy cornbread had a lump of cheese in the middle and the bread was so soft, not dry at all. You know the food is good when the macaroni is a side note, but this was also delicious. It looks baked but it was not even slightly dry. I honestly have nothing bad to say about any of the food, even the pickles were amazing. We will definitely be coming back as well as taking home quite a bit of...
