FANTASTIC!!!! amazing food and great prices! Service was excellent!!

I wanted to leave an additional review about my experience at the High Bridge House yesterday (December 10th, 2020). It was our 3rd visit there and as always the food was exceptional and our waitress was absolutely so kind. We were there celebrating our 2 year Anniversary of dating. After my boyfriend and I left we were halfway home when I realized I was missing my Grandma's ring on my finger. We called the High Bridge and someone immediately answered. We asked if they would mind looking for it and if it was okay if we came back. Without a single hesitation in the person's voice who answered the phone's voice they said "absolutely, can we take your number as well, we will call if we find anything." We searched the parking lot when we got back and our waitress helped my boyfriend search through the entire garbage of the lady's bathroom. Someone taking the garbage out asked if I was okay when searching in the parking lot and also said he would keep a lookout for my ring. I ended up finding my ring.

My point from this whole story is that the High Bridge house was already closed when we called. They picked up our calls twice, let us back in to search and helped us. Some restaurants would locked the door and not even bothered picking up the phone. I'm sorry I do not have anyone's name but the closing staff from Thursday December 10th were just so kind. They never sounded annoyed and in a moment like that I was very worked up. That ring is very special to me, and having your staff being so calm, and kind and genuine was truly something worth recognizing. So thank you, for hiring people who mean well, and care about others. It was especially important on Thursday and it was really appreciated. I hope all the Staff at the High Bridge House have a wonderful Holiday and we will definitely be...

We were anxious to try this restaurant and went this past Saturday. My husband had french onion soup and the short rib meal with a a caesar salad and I had the veal piccata with the spinach and warm bacon dressing for my salad. My husband said his meal was good although small portions, and mine was also good but I was a bit disappointed in the sauce. The veal itself was excellent but the sauce was very thick - much like a heavy gravy - and not much lemon flavor came through as a result. I am used to a lighter "gravy" where the lemon and capers shine. Perhaps I am mistaken? It came with a side and I opted for pasta but when I asked if it could be mixed in with the meal's sauce, I was told no, but they could bring it out buttered instead of with white or red sauce. I found that odd, but certainly not a deal breaker. The salad was similar in terms of the dressing. I was looking forward to the warm bacon dressing and again, it was much like a gravy. I didn't taste the bacon at all - there was only one tiny limp piece of bacon over the spinach leaves (perhaps why there wasn't much of the flavor) and it was heavy for the salad - so thick that it wasn't runny and I had to force mix it in by smearing it around as opposed to mixing it. It really felt like it was a chicken gravy. I think I would've preferred baby spinach as well. Maybe I'm being too picky here. Please don't misunderstand, the food was good but I guess after all the 5 star reviews I was expecting to be "wow'd". The atmosphere was very nice and the wait staff was good. We will likely try again and try other...

My husband and I decided to try out a new restaurant last night. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the booths were very spacious, which we appreciated! They served us fresh warm bread with seasoned butter upon being seated. I ordered a Filet Mignon with a baked potato (ordered extra sour cream and butter) and my husband ordered a Filet Mignon with mashed potatoes (we ordered our steaks to be cooked medium). We were served our salads pretty quickly, but it did seem to take a while to get our dinner. I was surprised seeing how it wasn’t busy while we were there, but I’d rather wait a bit longer than for them to rush us out. When we received our dinner, we were not expecting our steaks to be served with a brown gravy. From ordering Filets at many restaurants, it didn’t seem normal to be served with brown gravy. I wish we were aware of that, but that could have been a description on the menu that we missed while reading. The steaks tasted a lot like roast beef, especially with the gravy. We weren’t a fan. But that’s personal preference. My husband said his mashed potatoes tasted like it was mixed with instant mashed potatoes. We will be going back to try a pasta dish before deciding if it will/will not be an added restaurant to our list of places to eat. We did not order any appetizers or desserts, just our dinners and 2 sodas and the bill was $97. A bit pricey. The menu showed market price for the steaks. Overall, it’s a nice restaurant, we just won’t order a steak again. 🙂

I was looking for a place to get dinner while in town and came across this restaurant. When I arrived I parked in the private lot. I was a little confused when I arrived because I believe there is a hotel attached. When I walked in I wanted to make sure I was at the correct place and since I was in a dead zone I needed to make sure they had wifi. The hostess wasn't very helpful to me so went inside and found another worker. Not sure if she understood me because she was stumbling over her words smh. She gave me the wifi after me making it clear I wanted to stay and sit at the bar. I sat at the bar and after a while Barbara, which was very nice, served me. I started with a lemon drop martini which was strong and tasty. I then got the pinot nior. For my meal I got the seafood fra diavolo. When it came out it looked good. I dug in and it lacked seasoning so I had to add salt and hot pepper flakes. It wasn't spicy like you expect a fra diavolo to be. I will say the bill wasn't bad. All in all, I had an ok experience.
