I recently dined at this restaurant, and it was an absolute delight. From start to finish, the experience was memorable. Let me break down what made it so fantastic: Beverages: The raspberry shake was divine. It was thick, creamy, and bursting with the fresh flavor of raspberries. It's an excellent choice for anyone with a sweet tooth. The root beer float was equally great. The fizzy root beer paired perfectly with the creamy vanilla ice cream. It's a classic treat that never disappoints. Main Course: The hamburgers were a highlight of the meal. They were juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The ingredients were fresh, and you could tell they put thought into crafting each burger. If you're a fan of cheese curds, you absolutely must try the garlic cheese curds. They're the perfect balance of crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside. The subtle hint of garlic takes them to the next level. Sides: The poutine here is a must-try. The rich, savory gravy over the crispy fries and melty cheese curds is a taste sensation. I wish I could have it every day with how much I enjoyed it. Service and Presentation: The service was quick and efficient. Our drinks and shakes came out first, followed shortly by our food. It was evident that the staff took pride in ensuring we had a seamless dining experience. What truly stood out was the attention to presentation. Each dish was plated beautifully, and you could see the effort put into making the meal not only delicious but visually appealing as well. Ambiance: The restaurant's vintage setting on the main street in an old building with hardwood, squeaky floors adds a unique and nostalgic touch to your dining experience. Staff Friendliness: The staff was not only efficient but also friendly and prompt, making us feel at home. Cleanliness and Hygiene: It felt very clean inside, with tables wiped down meticulously. I didn't notice any spills or crumbs on the tables anywhere. This attention to detail only added to the overall positive impression of the restaurant. The next time we visit, we can't wait to try another shake – their menu has us intrigued – and for sure, we'll be getting another order of the poutine, which was a highlight of our meal. It's a place we'll want to visit again and again. I can't wait to return and explore more of their offerings, enjoying both the food and the lovely ambiance. My visit was a delightful experience, and I look forward to many more in the future.

My wife and I were planning on going up north for Valentine's Day. On our drive up we started to hit a snowstorm and decided that we should turn around and just eat somewhere local. We didn't want to get caught going to slow in the canyon and leave a babysitter for hours with our kids. Roots is our usual go-to, even though lately they haven't been too consistent it's either really good or not so good. We happily went in ordered our usual happily paid 50 bucks for two burgers and a drink. Got our Burgers back and they look like this... I don't know what happened on Valentine's Day, neither of us could take more than a bite. It looks like they had dumped a whole vat of burger grease on my burger.... enough that I left a puddle in the container. Honestly, I'm really disappointed that we wasted 50 bucks on Roots. Edit: The owner responded in a timely manner. They had a new cook on the grill with new food, and obviously, they were having a rough night. The owner was very understanding and helpful

Roots 89 Grill in Spring City, Utah, is a hidden gem that's worth the trip. The atmosphere is laid-back and welcoming, perfect for a casual meal with friends or family. Their menu is diverse, offering a range of delicious options from juicy burgers to fresh salads. The standout for me was their BBQ pulled pork sandwich—tender, flavorful, and generously portioned. The homemade fries on the side were crispy and perfectly seasoned. Service is friendly and attentive, adding to the overall positive experience. If you’re looking for a place with good food and a relaxed vibe, Roots 89 Grill is definitely worth checking out. Don't forget to try their house-made sauces—they add an extra kick to the meal! Overall, it’s a great spot for a satisfying, no-fuss dining experience.

Update: After speaking with the owner, who was apologetic, we got a very fair deal in their attempts to correct the situation. For that, I have raised the overall review from 2 to 4 stars, and change from 2 to 5 on service. Thank you for the concern you have regarding your customers and their overall experience.

The food was less than mediocre, which was also the case on a previous visit. The food was barely warm when it arrived at our table, and cold cheese curds are just plain inedible. It's tough and extremely dry and rubbery. It was like they made them first, let them sit, and waited until other food was done prior to bringing them out. No amount of dipping sauce can fix it. The burgers looked REALLY good, so it was a big dang disappointment to get the DRIEST buns one ever had. The burger itself was not just welldone but almost burnt. We had no complaints about the fries, although they were also cold. Our food wasn't delivered at the same time. 3 of the 8 people in our party were finished with what they ate of their meal before the last meal arrived.

I don't like giving poor reviews, especially about our local businesses, but this place has sadly been scratched out of our "places to eat" list.

Maybe if you want ice cream, it's a fine place to visit. It's a cute nook and had a fine atmosphere but terrible food and mediocre service...especially for being the second...

The food here in my opinion was pretty good, if not overpriced. Since the owner seems to have a monopoly on places that are open the day the rodeo is taking place, they have gotten the opportunity to make their prices on par with Las Vegas strip prices. That being said, it is very disgusting and unhygienic that the young lady behind the counter with blonde hair was nibbling on food with her back to the customers and eating out the freezer behind her and ignoring the customers behind the counter. The two young men were cussing up a storm. You do what you want in your own time, but I think it is disgraceful to speak like that when it is clearly marketed as a family business. The eatery itself was cramped and the fans hanging on the ceiling couldn't blow a napkin off a table if it was one inch away. You'd be better off eating outside. There are plastic tables provided in the outdoor area. Owner is unfortunately snarky and defensive when the prices are called out. She does not have any control over her employees who were seen nibbling the food with gloves on, putting those gloves to her mouth and then proceeding to double dip back into the food for customers. But if I had a boss like Sara M. I don’t think I’d listen either, she seems...
