Stellar 181 Taphouse — Restaurant in Spring Valley

5/21/25 This is an addendum to my first review 3 years ago. This crew is even better (didn’t know that was possible after the first trip). The food is excellent. This is not typical bar food. They have everything from an Asian Zing salad to street tacos, to burgers, pastas and more! They have high-end, reasonably priced cocktails like the Chang (coconut vodka, coconut water- not too sweet but a nice tropical, refreshing taste), Moscow mules and over 20 beers on tap!!! Alex makes great conversation and you can tell he cares about the customers! Thanks for many great experiences!!

This place is amazing. Spring valley is a small town and this trifecta of bakery, bar/restaurant, and boutique blow it out of the water! Kerrinn (Corrine- I apologize if I spelled it wrong) and the bartender and cook -Aaron and I forgot the other one because the beers were so good! I'll try this again since the owner whined to Google to get my review deleted. No qualms with the food necessarily, we have been there quite a few times and it is overall good but can be inconsistent or incomplete on occasion. Generally, it is very tasty and mostly unique. There is a large selection of taps which is also wonderful. The interior and the patio are well done and comfortable. It was the staff that ruined it for us each and every time. Since the owner had issue with the details I included in my last review, sorry folks, I will only say overall thoughts. Rude, gossipy, argumentative, and disrespectful has been our experience the majority of the time with the waitstaff. We are not local, we do not know the staff and perhaps that is the problem? It is most unfortunate as we would have continued to repeatedly make the drive there if the problems were with staff were addressed. Nothing ruins a night out like service with poor attitude. I have visited Stellar 181 many times and have never been disappointed. The food is consistently delicious, with a menu that offers a great variety of well-prepared dishes. The service is top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff who go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, perfect for both casual dining and special occasions.

One of the unique features of Stellar 181 is the boutique attached to the restaurant. It's a great place to browse and shop while waiting for your meal, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to the experience.
