From Italy Pizza — Restaurant in Springdale

I'm a waitress and I truly NEVER complain about anything anywhere. However, I feel like people should be made aware. I had a 3rd birthday party this past weekend there and there were a bunch of ants right next to my dessert table. I was so embarrassed because my guests kept coming up to me to let me know and the kids were smashing them with their fingers. We had to move the whole thing across the room. I get that ants happen especially this time of year and I was going to let it go. However, I then spoke with the owner about it and he basically just said it's a problem they have and then proceeded to blame it on me and told me food should not have been on that wall. No one ever communicated that to us and to be honest I didn't think to make sure my food wasn't on the ant wall at a restaurant. After that conversation my friend who brought the desserts told me she asked the worker there if it was okay to put desserts where we had them and she said it was okay. The food in this place is the worst food I ever had. We tried the wings, wedding soup, philly steak and buffalo chicken wraps, Italian and meatball subs and chicken Marsala and everything taste terrible. I don’t see how this business have high reviews. To give an example the Italian sub had one slice of meat, no exaggeration. The wedding soup was a thick stew like with 3 small meatballs with no taste. The Philly cheese steak roll tasted like fat and rancid steak-um. Finally the chicken Marsala was a piece of chicken cutlet breaded and deep fried with canned sliced mushrooms. No Marsala sauce in sight! I only sent back the chicken marsala and we had paid cash in advance and they would not give us the total amount we paid for the chicken Marsala. Finally after my husband insisting that that was not chicken Marsala they agree to give us back half of the price we paid. Please do not believe any of the reviews, the food is not half decent. From Italy has been our go to place for pizza & hoagies for many years. Their pizza and italian hoagies have been our favorites. Lately, although the pizza still has a great flavor, they appear to be using way less dough. The crust is so thin that is almost non-existent. Very hard to hold in your hand. The toppings, particularly the sausage was very heavy in some areas of the pie, and almost none on most of it. Additionally, ordered two orders of pierogies. When picking up, there was only one container. Was told both orders were in the one container. When opened, there were 6 pierogies in the container. Does a double order of pierogies really only have six? If so, they are charging almost one dollar each. If that is the case, I'll never order them again.
