Ordered my pizzas for delivery last night from the Springdale location (around 7:30) and was told the delivery would arrive in about 45-50 minutes. Around 8:45, still no pizza so I called and was told it should be arriving "any minute". 10 minutes passes (any minute should have been 5 or less in my opinion) and I call back. They call the driver and I'm told the driver should be here within 5 minutes. Another 10 minutes and the driver finally calls unable to find my home. Over 90 minutes for a pizza I was told 45-50 minutes for. I live 10, 15 minutes TOPS from the location and could have gone to get my food and been back quicker than the time I waited. I thought the delivery was supposed to be a convenience?! I was told the owner was going to call me, I'm assuming that was a lie as I NEVER received a call, attempt to call the number I was given to reach him and it went to voicemail. Food was BARELY warm if you would even call it that. Let's just say my youngest (under 2) didn't have to wait for it to cool and I contemplated putting it in the oven to heat it for everyone else! There was NO ranch on the side (as I asked) nor were there any onions which I had added to one of the pizzas. All around, VERY disappointing. My family enjoys the pizza here, but I'm not sure I will ever order from here again. 24 hours later, I finally spoke with the owner, who felt late was late regardless of it being 5 minutes or 45 minutes. Would not just issue a refund under the vice of "you had your food & ate it" but offered a credit. And felt I was being "unreasonable" because I felt after jumping through the hoops I had gone through anything beyond getting the exact same order replaced was "unreasonable" on my part. No care for their customers, just a money hungry owner. Doesn't care about return...
Read moreSolid pizza place in Springdale. It's priced cheaply and has the standard Italian food menu. I tried the create your own calzone without any added toppings.
The small calzone was a good size for the price ($9 on their site and $11 on Doordash, overall very cheap). It was filled with ricotta, provolone, and mozzarella (I think). There's also tomato sauce on the inside. Unfortunately, this did make the calzone a bit soggy. The top of the calzone was still crispy and had a decent amount of cheese sprinkled on it.
The calzone was a bit bready on the corners, too. The sauce they provide you with to dip the bread part in was very standard. It was served cold and in a small dipping sauce cup. The cheese blend was quite flavorful, but there's not that much cheese in the inside. The ricotta was also quite watery. But, all in all, the flavor was still pretty good.
In short, if you're in Springdale and crave some standard American Italian fare, La Nova is a good choice. It's not great and definitely has some drawbacks, but the price is affordable and...
Read moreFood is OK, but customer service is horrible.... REALLY HORRIBLE!
The first time I called to place an order, the owner was abrupt and very rude, saying he was to busy to answer a question about an item and put me on hold for at least 5 minutes. The second time was pretty much a repeat of the first time with extremely rude treatment.
The third, and it will be the last time, the rude treatment was the same. I had forgotten something so I called right back and the same rude man yelled at me that he was short staffed and put me on hold. After waiting 7 minutes, I called back and told him i just wanted to just wanted to add something and he again replied that he didn't have time for this and hung up on me! To this, I IMMEDIATELY called back and canceled my $70 order. We had McDonald's instead, without the rudeness and hassle.
No more tries with them. Their food isn't so good that it's worth the horrible...
