The Golden Burrito — Restaurant in Springfield Township

Update: Sadly, I've had to drop a few stars on the service side because the crew here has messed up our orders over the past 6 weeks or so. We tried ordering online, by phone and at drive-thru, and we got the wrong order each time and had to wait for them to remake one meal while the others got cold. We're going to take a break from Golden Burrito. It's not what it used to be.

I've been a carry out customer of Cirillo's Golden Burrito for over 7 years now. I ordered tacos from their first truck back in 2018 and never stopped coming back. They have expanded to open two locations, but the dishes have not changed one bit. They continue offering some of the best Mexican food I've ever had. I just finished some steak soft tacos from Golden Burrito and my only complaint is not buying an extra one because they are SO good!

I rarely award any restaurant a full 5 STAR review, but Cirillo and his dedicated crew provide consistently hot & tasty Mexican dishes. I have never received a wrong order. In fact, I've never had to call about an order or take anything back, ever. For almost 7 years, Golden Burrito has delivered quality Tacos, Burritos and Quesadillas. We usually eat there several times a month and every single order has been not just acceptable but PERFECT.

The Golden Burrito in Mansfield has truly set a high bar for burrito excellence. Each bite of their burrito is a symphony of succulent steak and a harmonious blend of flavors. The ratio of rice, steak, cilantro, and hot sauce is perfectly balanced, delivering a delightful experience with every bite.

On the other hand, my recent visits to the Golden Burrito in Ontario left me disappointed. The burrito lacked generous portions of steak, resulting in a dry and uninspiring meal. In addition to the shortcomings at the Ontario location, it's crucial to highlight that the burrito's lack of sauce makes it exceedingly bland. The absence of that flavorful sauce, which is such a standout feature at the Mansfield spot, is a significant drawback. Even when I requested extra sauce on the side, it was nowhere to be found. The noticeable gap in quality between the Ontario and Mansfield locations is undeniable, with Mansfield clearly taking the lead in delivering a superior burrito. I have reviewed this place before, and while the food is great and authentic, there are some issues they need to work out. One is cold food. When ordering online and picking up, the food can be cold. Bummer.🤨 I just go thru the drive-thru now to make sure it is hot. OK, so now you're at the drive-thru and you see the menu and the prices posted and you go to pay and you see this sign that encourages you to pay cash and says there is a surcharge for credit or debit card sales. 🤷🏻‍♂️ This is not good business practice and I think could turn people off. It would be so much better to post your prices at the credit card level and then offer a discount for cash, don't you think? The price on the board says 2 tacos for $6.50, so why does my receipt say 2 tacos for $8.40? That's almost $2.00 more! That's enough for me to consider another place,...
