I love giving new places a try. I’ve seen this place going to work every day while it was under construction. Finally got around to heading in and was not disappointed. The lady at the front (did not get her name) was super kind and explained the menu very well to me. She suggested I get the pug sandwich and I enjoyed every bite of it. The food was fresh and you can see them making it all in the back. The dog theme is pretty neat and not something you see a whole lot. My biggest issue was the side portion was fairly small, but still the potato salad I got was delicious. I’d say if you want something quick, fresh, delicious and with great customer service this is the place to go. They even offer their breakfast menu all day. The inside is a little small and there’s only a few tables with two seats (I think I can’t remember entirely) but that was no challenge for me because I took it home to eat. 100% appreciate this business and will be...
Read moreMediocre, at best. You can tell brand new with the investment of money on the inside. With that being said, the guy at the front did not seem very knowledgeable about their menu, and I was also surprised to find that each veggie that I wanted to add to my sandwich was $1 each, $2 total to add lettuce and tomato. Surprising, but definitely understandable with the price of everything these days. I was also surprised to learn that when I asked for a bathroom to wash my hands before I sat down to eat, I was told it was for employees only. I found them to be very strange. The food that I was served came with a large portion, but I found the chicken salad to be very dry even though the portion was large. I also asked my bread to be toasted for my chicken salad sandwich, but they told me, “we don’t do that here.” I will definitely go back once I have been up and running for a little bit and work out all the kinks and maybe try a...
Read moreStopped by Big Dog Deli for a quick lunch. Been trying to find some places in this part of town for a while and Big Dog Deli sounded good.
I wasn’t super hungry, so I decided to try one of the hot dog specials of the day—something called the “Chipoweenie” or close to it. It was a chipotle sauce–based hot dog with onions and peppers. I got the special with a bag of chips and a drink for about $10. The hot dog itself was standard fare, but the sauce and toppings made it outstanding and surprisingly filling.
With a fairly extensive menu and plenty of pre-packaged items, it’s tough to make a decision.
Seating is fairly limited, and they were pretty busy, but I expect that to improve as they get more established.
Definitely planning to return and try more items...
