Russ's — Restaurant in Springfield

Awesome breakfast and service except for one employee who im assuming is the owner (no way you couldn't get fired with this poor level of service.) Wont answer the phone when she is there alone for take out, even with an empty resturaunt. Is the restaurant closed?! Nope! Consistantly gets your order wrong. This place would be perfect if this woman stopped working here. The only downfall of Russ's!

Adding into this review, almost a year later. Same woman pulling the same stuff STILL. I ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese on a bagel via phone, 5 minutes later I show up, and it had not been started. She rushed to cook the sandwich and forgot the bacon. Four ingredients, and she forgets one. Maybe if she played attention, this place wouldn't be failing so hard. Thanks for making me late to work, I guess I asked for it knowing what a terrible track record this ONE server has. It's sad she is ruining a once great...

Not a chain! It's getting more and more difficult to find an independent, locally owned restaurant. I drove around the east chicopee / Springfield area for 20 minutes just looking for a decent breakfast that wasn't fast food or a chain. This place was worth the drive. Prices were reasonable. My waitress was a very competent Sara. Good food. Bacon was limp though. I'd asked for bacon crisp. The potatoes were excellent! Actual chunks of real potato! Eggs over, done perfect and the english muffin "toasted dark" was right on the mark. Clean comfortable seating. No one, from the cook on down, was wearing a hair net though. Great old time jukebox with tunes from the 50's and 60's. Actual 45 rpm records!! All in all not a bad experience. I...

35 year's old and this has been by far my favorite breakfast joint in all of those years for the past 10 years, which is when I first learned of them!

You walk into a simple, small, cute diner like restaurant and are immediately acknowledged by someone whether it's Candy, Sue, Sara or any of the other amazing staff there. They are almost always smiling and having a good time!

The food is always on point. You could be simple or get creative. We periodically started asking them to make is chocolate chip and bacon pancakes... they are amazing!

If I could make 2 additions to the menu I would add country fried steak and biscuits and gravy!
